Here's a new nessmuk I just finished and thought ya'll might like to see it. Thin L6 blade, rustic look, bookmatched maple burl, 1/4" solid brass pins. Razor sharp edge, ready for use.

You know, I've been seeing more and more nessmuk style knives with scandi grinds, I really like them. Nice one man,

thanks guys :). Looks like I need to make a couple more. I posted this for sale on another forum and it sold right away.

Very nice knives, you try to make a giant Nessmuk that chops, similar to what Dan Koster made.

Nice Nessmuk!

I'm seeing more and more of these "scandi grinds" (misnomer..but it fits). I'm curious....what thickness L6 are you using?

Great choice of steel (L6)...I really should add it to my line-up...excellent performance.

Have you considered getting a Knifemaker membership? We could use more Nessmuk makers.

She's a beauty MM. Very nicely done.

I really like that wood. I have "Nesszilla" made by Dan, but otherwise, no Nessmucks. I think that needs to change!

I'm using 3/32" most of the time, that is pretty close to what the original was made from, I use 1/8" from time to time, but usually flat grind those.

Yes, L6 is a great cutting steel, that is what the majority of my knives are made from.

I've kicked the idea of a upgraded membership around, but have never pulled the trigger.

To the rest of you, thank you for your interest :)

Were do you get your L6 from? Do you just use old sawblades or do you have a supplier? Do you forge it or stock removal? I'm just interested, because I've been looking into different types of steel and have had a hard time finding someone who sells L6 at all much less 3/32 and 1/8 stock.
