A "New" Vantage I didn't know about.

One maybe, 8 I don't think so.. and it wouldn't be the back door of the store... I'm just missing something trying to look it up...

Maybe this is a marketing test to see how this version will sell:rolleyes:. Looks to be doing very well 13 of 20 gone already;). Jeff, can you get me the next marketing test run with 20 Blue dymondwood Vantage Pro's with S30V. I'd be happy to do that marketing test run for you:D:thumbup:.

The six that I ordered just came. Did anyone else get their's? I'm real happy with this deal. Every handle is just a little different and they for sure aren't blue. I'll try to get pictures taken and posted, maybe for the Sunday picture show tomorrow.

Everyone is in a box with the label dated 6/10/10.

Hmmm.....Could these be back door at the picture show specials:eek::eek::confused: I think Jeff said there was a run of these being made.....but.....none had shipped yet. Dave did you buy some hot stuff or what;).

I can't wait to see your photo's, I do like the look of that knife with the dymondwood:thumbup:.

I couldn't wait so here's a couple of pictures of three of them. The other three are all a little different, but just variations of the same thing. One of them has some brown in the handle like the top one here. I think I like it the best.

Whatever the color, they sure beat the nylon handled Selects in my opinion.

Wow,those are sweet Dave! I really like the dymondwood too.Without even knowing the price on that model it should be a huge success.

I received my 2 today as well Dave. Sweet knives! Lockup is great, blades are centered perfectly! I shoulda bought 4 more before he jacked the price up $5.00 LOL
I really like the handle, but I have no idea what color you would call them LOL Heres a few pics! Thank you for pointing these out to me! Its a WAY better handle than the Vantage Selects normally come with!!!!!!!!! The only thing I was even remotely bummed about was all the labels are peeled off my box ends. No dates or numbers, nothing left but some adhesive residue :D

I think the Vantage line has always been a great value, but these at less than $20 each delivered are a steal.

Hey guys,

Just got back from a 3 day soccer tourney with my daughter and found my 345 had arrived on Saturday:D I like the look of it and it is centered perfect and much better than my Pro came and even after adjustment. Like Postfalls said, mine has no sticker on the box:( The other thing that I am uncertain about is the finish of the scales. Mine seems like it is untreated or finished and that it would or will scratch easily and mosture would soak into it like untreated wood like popsicle stick. I assume yours are the same, or are they not? If they are, what is your opinions of this?

Heres some quick pics-just about bedtime....long weekend:yawn:

Hey Fritz! Yeah, that was my thought on the finish when I first got it as well. But I compared it to the finish on my Avid, and its roughly (LOL) the same :D It doesnt feel quite as smooth as the avid but it is barely noticeable to me anyway. I think its a fantastic knife, especially for what I got them for. I am happy! :)

If it will stand up to work and water, its the deal of the century-I love it:thumbup:

Well, I will fess up. Here is my Dymondwood 341 13C26. I prefer lighter streaked Dymondwood, will hand select before I get another, really like what was showed earlier.....I just got caught up in the feeding frenzy.......I wonder what two pieces of that antler would look like on there....or maybe gun checkering instead of the grooves......

You all have a 0345GYSWM-B, 345 with Charcoal Dymondwood, oiled.

Thanks Jeff, but I gotta tell ya, mine doesnt seem too oiled-doesnt resemble the sheen on 300's pic at all, seems dry as a bone to me. Is that consistent with how it should?

300s is laquered finished.
The other is a lightly oiled and most of it would soak in... We did not want to send it out drenched.
