A newb, needs some advise, (or a bunch of really stupid questions about Busse knifes)

...how do I get him drunk.

I can make cusom baile's, it tastes good, but glass for glass its almost as strong as vodka, does wonders what you want to get someone drunk (not that I tried to get someone drunk for my own benifit before)

rumor is that the busse company store has several large shipments in the works, from small to large blades.

.

I'll drink to that...

BTW

I learned that Tequila really works well as an after exercise drink. I just ran to the Golden Gate Bridge and back and realized that I could just lick the back of my hand and get enough salt. I know I know, all of you think that is gross; but I bathe regularly so it is OK.

I'm hoping this means what I hope I think this means.

Wait... what did I say?

I know that its a BATAK, thats what i like about it, same power but an inch shorter, plus its a bit slimer in the handle. I want a 4 inch blade.

...how do I get him drunk.

The equation is simple. Operationalizing the equation, on the other hand, takes some moxie.

Co-eds + Pillow Fighting + JWB = Drunk Skunk

I can do that to him just for the cost of geting here.

Well, Johnny Walker Blue ain't cheap, and it has to be first-class pillow fighting. Sophomoric pillow fighting simply will not rate.

There are at least a couple of double-edged Badgers that were offered during Blade West, so you can know that it has been done before.

This is my Frosted Jack (top) shown above a BATAC Custom:

The top edged is sharpened most of the way back. So is the one on this SHSH:

I don't worry about them breaking.

Well from what I'm able to remember, xcept for johny walker, we had the pilow fights covered enough at UCSB to end up on playboys #1 place in the world for halloween.

If you were at Blade, you would have had a shot at something like this:

It has had an extensive Ban makeover but the basic shape is unchanged. It was less than $350 too (before the mods)(it's not for sale).

If you can get to a show where Busse has a booth (especially Blade), you may have an oppertunity to snag a deal like that.

If you can wait a while, the ASH-1 will be available for order soon and it will be under $350. It won't be as easy to make it double edged but I see very little need for double edged knives unless you are going to stab animals/people. You can't really baton with a double edge.

Don't get me wrong, double edges look cool, but utility is beautiful when you need it.

One last thing, if you can't get exactly what you want right away, try not to grind on it too much, that way you can sell it and trade up when the right blade comes along.

rbmcmjr, the knife with the gun, is what I concider a perfect shape for me, thats what I've been looking forever thanx for the picture. Although now I'd consider buying one "just in case" that blade is too big to be caried but if it was 4.5 inches...I'd really really want it. and that frosted jack looks awsome, thanx.

That's an old-school Straight Handled Steel Heart (SHSH). Roughly an 8" blade. 4.5 inches puts you squarely into Badger territory.
