A prayer for Bears...

I believe they have the edge, btw. Defense wins.

I agree with you there. Indy's ballgames tend to be shooting matches where the last team that scores wins. Chicago's tend to be smash mouth, "5 tough yards" offense and a 3 and out D. I have noticed both gravitating toward the middle with the Colts stepping up their D and the Bears throwing the long ball for big plays.
I think that if the Bears go out there and take it to Indy like they took it to NO from the get-go, then they have a real shot. Indy is going to come out like a bat out of hell, and Manning is not going to let them give up (i mean look at the Pats game). Grossman has not proven to me that he will not roll over and die just yet. Urlacher and Tank can only do so much on defense if Rex decides to come out lukewarm. You don't get a warm up quarter in the AFC generally speaking, so Indy is used to coming out strong fromt he get go. If Grossman can come out, give it a great shot, and STAY CONSISTANT through this bowl game, then I promise to keep my mouth shut about him next season;)
I honestly think it's going to be a good ball game with either lots of back and forth plays or a meatgrinder of a game that is low scoring and hard hitting. Either one is going to be fun to watch.

Dont follow american football at all, just though I would post in solidarity with bears of the four legged varity.

Now Hockey there is a great spectator sport, not doing to well down south though, you'd think people would come watch just for the novelty of the ice.

Da Colts. (...although the opening kickoff return by the Bears left me a little nervous for a bit.)

If it had been any team other than the Colts, I would have pulled for the Bears.

The last couple of cup winners were from the south if I'm not mistaken. And Atlanta is leading right now.

Well, Rex Grossman did indeed turn into Wrecks Grossman:mad: No big deal as I'm a big Colts fan as well. I'm glad Manning got his ring. I really didn't want him to become another Dan Marino. Now, the long drawn out wait for next season to begin:(;)

My wife and I are walking through the Ft. Lauderdale airport. We weren't married, and actually had only known each other for two weeks at this time. Anyway, who comes down the corridor but Dan Marino. My wife had met him aparantly, because she says, "Thats Dan Marino, he is an a**h***!" I was shocked, and Dan was too. He stopped and turned to us. He's a bit bigger than me, and I thought, "Here I am about to get my butt kicked by Dan Marino." But he turned away without saying anything, and we walked on. I still razz her about that.

Colts D was underestimated all year long. Rookie Devin Hester sees himself as he is running the opening kickoff of the Superbowl for a TD on a Giant Screen while thousands cheer. A notable point in a lifetime. Rex Grossman...
There are free agents on both rosters enough to give an old 49er fan false hope renewed. A 3 stooges first quarter. By third quarter Indy was a well oiled machine, humming along. Harrison almost got killed, but the slick, gucky field added to his luck and skill. He is the guy I'm happiest for. I love his game.
Poor Eli, can't say he don't have motivation now...
The NFL ends another season, and now I once again turn away from professional sports as entertainment, until sometime in august next, when again the greatest atheletic team game in the world, The NFL, rejoins in the cycle of culture;)

Yep, this is me also. No more sports till august. Its a welcome break, and I'm not interested in fostering an interest in any other sport.
