You’ve been around long enough that you’ve likely experienced the full range of things here, IM. As with any other community, family, fraternity, etc, there are good and bad moments, and we have opportunities to see people at their best or worst. I enjoy the community, warts and all.

Ok, fair enough. Maybe this is how they’ve decided to reach the global market. I suppose that makes sense. This damages the brand for me though, severely.

In general, I’ve had mixed emotions about the influx of Chinese-direct knives into the market and this info mixes those emotions a bit more. Luckily for me, very few knives from the Chinese big-3 have really peaked my interest. This info is enough to put Kizer on my NO BUY list. I’ll spend my money elsewhere, thank you.

All you guys below said what I’m thinking.

I don’t own any Kizer knives. I view this move as a “guilty by association” move that will undoubtedly impact their products. To what degree, only time will tell.

I don't like it.
I know they are just trying to do business, but doing it on a platform that is notorious for ripping off the hard work of other knife makers seems kinda sleazy.
....Deal breaker for me.

As another thought...if you buy a Kizer on Liar Express how can you even be sure you're getting a real Kizer?

Getting welded at the hip to the world’s largest marketing venue for every imaginable form of counterfeits, clones, copies and rip-offs puts the stink of death on Kizer in my book.

I've never bought a kizer and now I never will. Looked at a few. Almost pulled the trigger....They built an excellent reputation. Now they've thrown that all away.
