A Promised GAW ~ WINNER ~ Post #11 - ALLHSS

Awesome that you found it Brett!! Also thanks for allowing others to take a chance at carrying it. In your "lost" thread, this is the stockman that I said was given to me by grandfather. Camillus made for Sears Craftsman. Not sure how old it is, but I've had it for 20+ years. I've used it in the backyard, on his farm, carried it to school, sat at the dinner table sharpening it as a kid, carved up my dresser and watched as the main blade folded under and went through the tip of my thumb to the bone. I also thought I had lost it, but found it after searching my house and my parent's house. Glad to reconnect! It's seen its better days, but there's plenty more to come.

Here is my entry, this will be my grandpa knife because I will never part with it:

An old ERN folder. My bud always associated this knife with me.

I know how it is. I am starting a new job at a nursery/greenhouse soon and will not have near the time I used to have to be on this site. Best of wishes on that move. I helped a bud of mine move house a few months ago.

I asked my wife which of the knives I use would be the one that she would think I pass on. It was not what I was expecting.

It's a great one but not what I was expecting.

Thanks for the chance! That 33 is a beaut! Have been waiting for a new run so I can carry one to give to my son (5). He loves trains.

I have an 11 month old as well and after he was born I was a little surprised at how much time was lost just having a second one. But you find ways. My prime BF time is putting him to sleep. Play some music and change the background to black with white letters. It ends up being not as distracting putting him to sleep. Enjoy that little one! Come back soon!

Im in! I think this currently would be my Grand Pa knife.....though i'm sure it will change by the time I allow my daughter (3yrs old) to grow up, get married, and have kids.

Thanks for the GAW! Im sorry to see you step away.......but I totally understand the need to spend time with family and NOT sucked into the computer. In this day and age its tough to keep off the computer. Good luck with your daughters health and your family's growth.

Take care Brett!

Jim

Hello Brett

I d like to be in the GAW.
I m going to miss your informative and interesting threads, such as, "Knives Lost." Your sales threads were comprehensive and well managed and I am very pleased with the Schrade Walden 236 that I got from you.

I m calling this Schatt Morgan (SFO) Muskrat my "heirloom" knife.

It was made in 2000, the turn of the century, and has outstanding quality, substantial heft, and great balance in the hand. The Keystone shield represents my East coast roots and time spent in PA.

Enjoy every minute with your little girl! My daughter, my only child, is now 28 and those years went by in a FLASH!

Thank you all for the kind words. Thought I would give this a bump. I'll announce a winner later today.

Congrats, ALLHSS; looks like a wonderful knife you won, but keep your eye on it; it has a history of disappearing! :D:D
Thanks for the generous GAW, Brett.:thumbup: Hang on to what you can't lose, and God be with you till we meet again!

Congrats to the winner!

Brett, have a great leave of absence, continue to read to stay apprised of the happenings on the porch and congratulations on your new addition when she comes.

I received the #33 today, and it is a beautiful knife. Great blade combination, beautiful scales, great spacing, tight blades, smooth snappy opening. I will use it with your generosity in mind, Brett, thank you again.
