A question for R. W. 'Ron' Clark...

Your memory has nothing to do with truth, facts or the way it actually happened.

Yes it shipped. Now address the fact the you lied about the details of the Blade West meeting. You lied about the Blade 2004 meeting. You broke the original deal to begin with. You lied about me not answering your calls. You lied about me not returning (none existant) e-mails.

As to bringing your family into this. Edna was involved in all the meetings including Oregon, Blade, Blade West and Expo. That automatically makes her involved. If you don't want supporting evidence introduced, don't start claiming memory fade in an attempt to make yourself look like some type of victim.

Ron,

You're laughable, and you're right, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my memory. I clearly stated my position, and was truthful in all that I said here.

It was you that broke our contract Ron, it was you that stalled for the last six months over a sheath that was "ready", then not ready, and now not being shipped at all...

You want talk about 'facts' Ron? Good, because the fact is, it was you that broke our contract, by trying to pass off uncompleted work in the first place...

More importantly, the fact is, whereas you could've taken the high road, admitted responsibility for your own actions, and responded like an adult to my mulitple requests that you return my property in this lifetime; you instead attempted to reassign responsibility by blaming me for your shortcomings.

You were simply a contractor here Ron, nothing more; you did not perform as expected, plain and simple.

That said, in my opinion, you are truly a small and petty man Ron Clark, a shell of the potential that once was, hiding behind the memory of greatness, a man that you could never be. You should be ashamed! :o

In closing, when the knife arrives, if ever, I'll pay you the contracted rate of $60 +shipping for the rework, provided that you didn't spitefully damage my property prior to shipment.

I obviously won't be paying for the Kydex sheath you said that you'd made but aren't delivering, and if you didn't return the original leather sheath, then I'll have to subtract the replacement cost from the net balance due.

Other'n that bud, I think we're done, on all levels. Get in your last shot, get in the last word if you need to, as I probably won't respond. Yet, as you sleep at night Ron, rest comfortably knowing that I'll be sending your contracted rework off to Cliff Stamp for testing, so he can give us all a little unbiased feedback on the quality of your workmanship... ;)

I thought EVERYTHING shipped to Mel on the 28th?

'Wrapped, packaged, labeled, postage paid, blah, blah" ...........Now, this is not the case????

While I do not know the players well at all, I have always found that those who commented about Sheldon [Mel] here on BFC found him 100% credible and honest.

Even Jaxurman never questioned his credibility!!!

I'll put my two bucks on Mel to win in the 8th....................:D

Well folks, here it is, almost exactly two years to the day since I sent my NIB Cold Steel Trailmaster knife off to R.W. ‘Ron’ Clark to be rehandled and reprofiled. Whoopee, the knife arrived back safely today, and the workmanship is great. This is exactly what I was hoping for, minus the Kydex sheath, which though ordered was not produced.

In good faith, I’m reporting here that Ron did a fantastic job reworking the knife, and I find no flaws whatsoever in the finished product. Unfortunately, due in part to the heartburn this knife has caused me, I’m not willing to keep it, nor am I willing to send such a superbly crafted tool off to Cliff simply to be destroyed (sorry Cliff)

So, unless it sells here first, then along with it’s original leather sheath, it’ll be out on our sales table at the BAKCA show in August ( www.bakca.org ), along with all the other R.W. Clark knives we own. It’s time to put any memory of dealing with this guy far, far behind us.

Ron, soon I’ll be sending you a USPS Money Order for the contracted rework charge of $60, along with $7 shipping, for a total of $67. I’ve changed my BFC sigline, I’ve deleted your phone numbers from my cell phone memory, and as far as I’m concerned our dealings are done…for good.

Here’s to wishing you every success you deserve Ron, and best of luck in all your endeavors.

Hey I am just down the road from ya in Salinas.

I would be willing to buy the knife for what you have in it. Let me know.

Thanks
Jim

The sheath was produced, just not delivered because it did not meet my requirements of fit and finish. Attached are photos to prove the the work was done. And a photo showing what was wrong with the sheath and why I wanted to re-make it.
