Couple of my favorites.
 
ahhhh just saw one S&W 686 with a 6" barrel at the shooting range today !
Looks great ! I really want one!
 
5" makes a nice compromise between ease of shooting and portability. A 6" barrel is too long for anything other than hunting and a 4" can really batter you with recoil.

The one in the upper middle of this picture is 5" and it is the sweetest shooter of the bunch (all of them are .357 Magnums):

i agree, i have had all lengths of revolvers and the five inch seems to be the best all around. below my 629 classic, my favorite.

Those are AMAZING! .357 is my next favorite caliber after .45 acp!

That thing's sweet! I was looking at the 5'' 460 mag....but now that I think about it....I'm pretty stricken by the mint Colt Python they had...I'm pretty sure it was 5'' but could have been 6. That's my "dream" revolver. I'm getting it! Eventually....all I need is a spare $1300 to drop on a gun :p.

Here's a pic of my 686...not actually MINE...but the same model...I'll get some sweet pics when I get it back...I don't have any gooduns offhand.

Does anyone know of a company or person that makes micarta grips for the 686 round butt?
 
here's my 4" python, it's stainless not nickle, they did a fine job shining this snake up.

That thing's a BEAUTY!! I don't know what I like more, the stainless (don't like nickel) or blued...or whether I want 5'' or 4''...definitely NOT 6 though...too big :p

Not yet. I am trying to talk Larry Davidson ("Lazza") into attempting it. We have exchanged some notes about it and he seems open to the idea. He asked me to wait to poke him about it again until he gets back from Blade.

Man, that would be SWEET! I'm definitely in! I'd go NUTS for some Busse textured grips too! Like raptor cut one's!!!:D
 
Those are SWEET! I've been eyeing those Hi Powers too! My cousin just bought a CZ that's basically a Hi Power knock off. It's also a cool gun!

This has me completely confused. I can't think of a single CZ product that even vaguely resembles a HiPower. I mean other than the fact that they are both semiautomatic pistols....

Okay Lunde. Now I officially hate you:D Not only super photos, but Super human taste in weapons. Makes my poor lil' S&W 29 pale.
