Those are AMAZING! .357 is my next favorite caliber after .45 acp!5" makes a nice compromise between ease of shooting and portability. A 6" barrel is too long for anything other than hunting and a 4" can really batter you with recoil.
The one in the upper middle of this picture is 5" and it is the sweetest shooter of the bunch (all of them are .357 Magnums):

i agree, i have had all lengths of revolvers and the five inch seems to be the best all around. below my 629 classic, my favorite.

Not yet. I am trying to talk Larry Davidson ("Lazza") into attempting it. We have exchanged some notes about it and he seems open to the idea. He asked me to wait to poke him about it again until he gets back from Blade.
