A Special Club for special people

Remington never sold to Pal. They sold to DuPont...Except for their folding knives and bayonets, all Pal RH's are Remington patterns. I have sold all three knives RH36, 37, 38...The 38 is huge...They ALL had the same handle's. The MKII's are not ALL RH37's!!!!! The MKII's are KA-Bars, Camillus, and others...Pal did not design the MKII. They submitted the RH37 to the Military because the design was about the same as the MKII's. You all need to get "Coles book about Military Edged Weapons" there are 4 books #3 and #4 are the most informative...

When Pal went out of business DuPont got everything back. That's why you see Remington Hunters with Dupont in the circle instead of Pal...

We're WAY off track here. We need to get back to Buck Knives. We have a gunshow in July and I'll have all my knives for sale out and I will see what I have and go from there...

I thought I am in the wrong thread. ;)

I was thinking the same thing. After almost three pages devoted to the RH 35, 36, and 37, as interesting and informative as there were I went hunting for some pictures of 119s, here's one. Preston

Sorry Guy's...Didn't mean to take over the thread with 36, 37, 38 stuff. Just got caught up in the discussion...

Yeah, I'm not feeling good enough to dig out knives and take pics, I went into my pic file and just selected some. If you noticed I posted the 119 in this thread earlier, didn't realize it until too late. I had even forgot this thread was about 119's...Ha!Ha!

I have a lot of 119's scattered throughout the mushroom closet, one of these day's I'm going to dig them out and take pics, then start a new thread about them. It'll be too late for this one I think, we'll see.

Thanks Preston, you're good people...

Can I join with these?

The top knife was actually worse than the picture, the bottom knife is actually better than the picture. Both bought used at antique stores. The bottom knife appears unused and never even resharpened. The sheath had a small bit of mildew but vinegar removed it.

After picture with a homemade sheath for the distressed knife.
