A Specific Overall Design You're Fond Of?

In terms of overall design, I think we all have our inclinations to what we like in terms of blade and handle shape.

Here's mine, which seems to be a common recurring theme (hey, if it works, it works ):

1. A mating of ample point and belly on the blade
2. A slight ergonomic curve on handle's under side
3. An index finger choil is OK, so long as it's understated

But let pictures say a thousand words -

No one?

One more, though it varies slightly, I think the PPT runs along the same lines as well -

Specifically, I collect Schrade Old Timer and Bruckmann pocketknives, with a small start to a SAK collection.
But knives I buy due to their overall style, I'd have to say Fixed Blade Hunters, especially drop point models.

Here are a couple of examples:

I like persian influenced/styled knives and similar styles like the Paragon Apex, CS Recon, CS Espada (one of my favs) Spyderco Persian, Spyderco Navaja, etc....

Big fan of strider's design too....

Whoa, what's that kershaw?

For me- recurves, tantos.... And just about any blade shape that offers lots of belly

I like slightly curved blades. It has been my personal experience that this blade shape is excellent for…. well…… people. And they make good utility knives as well.

my collection isnt big enough to have duplicates in terms of ergos blade shape etc but what i seem to really enjoy are knives that are more streamline i.e. sebenza, skyline, Cara Cara, vantage, spydie rookie etc but i do find i sacrifice that love of pocket space for something thatll really fill my hands like my buck strider 889

I love all knives, for users it shouldn't have any type of choil (finger or sharpening) ideally out of 3/32" steel for all sizes of knife, plain edge with a nice looking, not black handle. For my own style often the blade is dropped level with the knuckles.

In terms of esthetics in a working knife; to me nothing is sexier than a smooth flowing wharncliffe! I'll get some demonstrative pics up tonight hopefully

For me, it's all about performance, fit, ergonomics. For small fixed blades, right now, some of my favorites are the Gerber Metolius & Tops/Buck CSAR-T. I like choils, jimping & comfortable handles.

For large fixed blades, some of my favorites are Beckers BK2, 7, 9 & the Ontario Spec-Plus SP8 machete.

untamed, I would have guessed you were from the Philippines from looking at your blade preferences! Your "likes" are what I gravitate towards in personal preference including the same broad leaf design for fixed and big chopper blades! That edge geometry gives easy control and always places the cutting edge in contact while having enough "belly" to aid in long and deep cuts. A perfected design!

I love clip, and modified clip points.

Those sure look like "Trailing Points" to me. Nice choices just the same.

Here are a couple of clip points

My favorite style is the guardless coffin handled bowie

Broad thin blades for me. If it has a wide blade, thin stock, and a point that balances well on the line between being fine and being durable, I'm usually pretty sold. :D

Whoa, what's that kershaw?

Sorry to respond only now. That's the upcoming Kershaw Diskin, named from the designer, which is basically Kershaw's version of the knife pic above it (look back at the pic, it's the Volcan knives "Coronado").

No doubt. Personally I like Becker's BK-5 Magnum Camp knife and that doesn't float your boat, next year, Becker will be releasing the mini 5" blade version. I think that's right-up your alley with your James Williams CQC background plus being a good all-'round cutter.

Maybe so. It's the "mating" of the design between point and belly.
