A Subtle Passing

I did not know Mr. Nagle but if he was a friend of yours Charllie he must have been a fine gentleman. Condolences to family and to you Charlie on your loss.

The traditional knife collecting community is diminished by his passing. Condolences to you and his family Charlie. Anything more you can tell us about the man and his knives? Those Peachseed Schrades are just beautiful! Warm regards, Lloyd

Sincerest sympathy for your loss, Charlie. Your posts in this thread are a fine testimonial to the high opinion you had of your friend.

My deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and friends............He had great taste in knives.

Rest in peace Mark.

I never followed up with a picture of Mark, but found this one while searching my documents. Mark was shy of pics, so not too many exist.
A Texas friend of his bought Mark's extensive Schrade collection, and for the most part is keeping it together. He sent me these three knives out of it, to remember our mutual friend, and his exacting attitude toward Schrade collecting!
I'll remember you when I look up at these, Mark! Hope you are coon-fingering and chicken-eyeing all the good ones, wherever you are!

Three beautiful examples to remember your friend by. Thanks for sharing this additional information and picture of Mark. I am sure the memories you share of your time spent together at OKC show will be treasured! Best, Lloyd

Sorry to hear that Charlie, prayers sir,

Sorry about the loss of your friend Charlie. He sounds like the kind of guy we'd all like to hang out with. And man oh man did he have some nice knives!

So sorry for the loss of your friend Charlie. Our prayers to all his family and friends.

My condolences Charlie.
Mark definitely sounds like a man of good taste both in friends and knife collecting.
Hope he is in good company now in that raucous contingent in the sky.

Thanks to everyone for the sympathies and condolences!
Mark was shy to write his thoughts on knife collecting, but very good at photographing great old knives!
Another Calendar would be a nice tribute. Maybe next year!!

Sorry to hear of the loss Charlie.

That is a beautiful collection. That fishing knife is absolutely gorgeous. My lord.

Charlie- Thank you for showing Marks picture - its warming to see a face to his name-now I can almost see you chatting away with your friend Charlie.
Those three knives are not only absolutely stunning - but I can honestly feel just how much you appreciate them knowing all too well how much hard work Mark had to do to source to and to obtain spectacular knives such as that lovely trio.
