A Taste of Chive

... But I hear that a high end sprint run of the Chive may be in the works, so I'll be patient...

Huh? A high end Chive? Any details please?
I was drooling for a long time after a Ti / ZDP Chive :D (hint, hint), but please do something with that spring so it wont break that easily. It's the only thing that keeps my poor Chive in the drawer. :(

dialex, just a rumor I picked up on. Nothing concrete.

As for the torsion bar spring, call Kershaw, and they'll send you a handful of springs for free. If you don't feel comfortable working on it yourself, send it in, and it will be repaired and sharpened free of charge. The turn around time is quick, too!

No problem from my part, those cool guys at Kershaw already sent me a few spares (changed a couple so far). I really have nothing to complain regarding Kershaw's CS.
What I was thinking was redesigning the spring (a wider loop, maybe, like at the Scalion) so it won't break.

So go ahead, blame me, and buy a few more Kershaw's! :D

Not a problem sir! :D Thanks for all the info in your reply also.

I am left handed so all my knives point the wrong way except for the few that I can switch over. Now, if I did not also have a nasty love affair with guns I'd have more money for Kershaw knives. It appears from your Mojo photo that you might share my affliction.

Unfortunately dblagent, you are correct...I think last count was around 37. Mostly handguns of varying make and caliber. Then there are the skeet sets, and then the high power rifles...oh, and a couple of AR's, and a M-1 Carbine, too. Add to that all the scopes, slings, bi-pods, etc. and it adds up quick!

A few months ago, I took a matched set of Colts to a gun show...Python and Anaconda...that freed up quite a bit of cash. Then I sold the Kimber, but turned right around and bought a Wilson Tactical Compact.

Now I'm in search for a pristine older PPK. I don't really know why, I just think I need one!

Day-um addictions!

I know I'm a bit late, but yes i agree with SPXT, use your Torx wrench and tighten up the safety on the Leek/Scallion/Chive/Etc. because you don't really need it. What a great line of knives!! Can't wait to get my hands on a shallot. I wanna work for Kershaw.

Cheers,
Jon:)
