With all the hype about the somewhat new RTF (Rough Texture Frame) and just-introduced Gen4 (Generation 4) frames, I'd like to pay tribute to the "Plain Jane" Glock 17 and 19:

And, another tribute to the "Plain Jane" Sig-Sauer P226, P228, and P229, all without the accessory rail:

This is my nightstand gun.

+1 on the glock, good deal ken, lost a model 23, 1st generation in a divorce, one of my grail guns. that weapon was a pleasure to shoot!!

I love my Gen-3 Glocks, especially my 19. It's about as close to "perfect" as a gun can be.

Those aren't plain jane Glocks....they have rails:p

The only Glock I kept is an early (pre rail) model 27. Have a plain Jane Sig 229 in .40 and .357 sig, and an old 226. I like em plain:thumbup:

Any pics?

I am no Lunderkind, but I do own 11 Glocks. Among them -

Beater G17 with G34 barrel.

G26 with G19 barrel.

The extended barrels are just in there for giggles. And to impress the chicks.
