Arizonaranchman started a Vic Farmer To The Rescue Thread. I am a huge Farmer fan and have enjoyed the thread seeing folks singing the Farmer's praise/sharing pics. But I got a Pioneer about a month ago and love this knife. So playing off Arizonaranchman's theme I wanted to see if folks have pics and the same praise for the Pioneer.

I don't have any action shots, but my Pioneer gets used a lot at work . It's getting well worn.

SAK Guy, it looks like you can't live without a Pioneer! :D

Thank you my friend! I suppose they might have might grown on me a bit since '83! :D

My original Pioneer...

The Pioneer is my other go-to SAK without a doubt. I LOVE the Pioneer. If I'm carrying an SAK it's either a Farmer or a Pioneer - PERIOD!

And here's my Baby...

I don't own one and have no real desire to at the moment .
The Rancher was my favorite 2 layer Alox up until recently ( it got stolen ) , so my Electrician has taken on that role and apart from no lanyard ring it does a great job .
So I'm afraid there's no Rescuing me :)

I like the sheepfoot blade on the Electrician. If it wasn't a Pioneer my next choice would be an Electrician.

I see another thread in our future. The Vic Electrician To The Rescue.

Well, IMHO, the Electrician IS a Pioneer, just "improved" a bit over the "original". So Ken, in my mind, you're part of the Pioneer team! :D
(Of course, I probably HAVE to think this way, because until recently, my only alox Vic was this Electrician BF member gregc gave me:

But now I also have an "official" Pioneer, not because I think it's a better, more useful, knife than the Electrician, but simply because I think the basic black Pioneer is prettier than the Electrician:

Good pix!!!

Thanks for the encouragement, SAK Guy! :)
My photos always suffer from a shaky hand; maybe I should investigate some sort of tripod system.
The Pioneer "pic" is actually a scan from the "multi-function device" (MFD) at the office; kind of fitting for "Multi-tools" subforum.:D
I just threw the Pioneer on the glass, covered it with gym shorts, crossed my fingers, and scanned it. Not bad, I guess, but more experiments are forthcoming, I'm sure! :(:o

One wife deep in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina. (Que the dramatic music)
The fate of home organization at the brink of doom. Books laying in stacks. The weekend almost over. Can you believe! Can one man with only a Pioneer and a set of very detailed assembly instruction for book shelf save the world as we know it before the stroke of the next workday?

(Screen fates to black)
