Here are a few pictures of my little fishing trip. This spot had some really good dry fly fishing last evening.View attachment 1588051
Spotted a few otters fishing as well.View attachment 1588055
This is a very productive riffle, my son caught 14 fish in here five years ago, I got 5 this morning, guess that why we call him the Trout Slayer.

I haven't been to Crater Lake since I was a wee lad.
I remember the fun hike down to the water, and the horrendous hike back out.
Lol... you would have been carrying them up those switch-backs.I have 11 and a 8 year old who kept saying 'are we done yet?' lol
Great pictures Ken, hope to get there someday. It won’t be kids though that keeps me from making that hike. It might be old age!Took a week RV trip through Oregon, Tahoe, Yosemite, and Trinity Lake...Lot of driving but worth every moment...
Please enjoy the iPhone camera pics lol
Hope you all are staying cool...Reaching 107 degrees F here today...

Looks like a great time too Tom! A 12” catfish is just about the best size for eating in my opinion. Not as impressive as Ken’s vacation, but I took a quick overnight trip yesterday and today.
The RV:
Winner, winner, catfish dinner:
Not humongous at maybe 12”, but I caught it on my second cast and enough for a couple of nice filets.

Rice and grilled plantains to go with that:
