A Warning About Buck Knives

He called four times, and dropped an email. He was treated badly on multiple occasions and ignored on another, he is then critized for not continuing to seek out customer service even though he has had nothing but bad experiences with it.

It would seem to me that Buck would be in a position to make the next move as from the posters description they were the ones at fault. As an aside, I have had nothing but positive experiences with Buck either going through the forum and in emails with Joe.

If you want it fixed then send an email to Joe, and let us know what you work out. Otherwise, this is a pretty meaningless thread.

This is the forum description

This is your area to tell about your experiences (Good or Bad) with dealers, sellers, and individuals you've bought, sold, and traded with.

it doesn't seem meaningless to me, but ymmv

Paladin,
I don't blame you one bit for being upset, or for not wanting to contact Buck again. :(
You don't have to tell me names, I only have two people working for me and i promise you, they will get a tongue lashing for the way they treated you! My apologies!!
We have always had a standard policy of not sending out knife parts, for liabilitty reasons, but when someone needs a couple screws or a belt clip, I like to bend the rules when I can. Your circumstance definitely falls into this category.
I hope you will give me the chance to win you back, and send you the parts you need. Can I talk you into sending me an Email, with a list of the parts you need and your address, so I can get them in the mail to you right away?
You can reach me at: jhouser@Buckknives.com

Take care,

It doesn't get much better than that..
Thanks, Joe...I hope he takes you up on your offer of assistance.:).

I have been watching this thread just to see what turns up. Sounds pretty noble of Joe!

I love Buck knives! The only complaint I have EVER had is that they do not cature to leftys too much.

Good luck!!:)

Joe Houser was kind enough to offer a solution to this issue......so I took him up on it.

It was a tough way to get a pocket clip, but there IS a bright side to it: Now I can start saving for a Buck 880SP! :D

alls well that ends well...........or something like that anyway, lol

glad ya got your clip/etc, i knew joe would help ya out, the folks at buck are good people imho. no company out in the business world can have 100% cutomer satisfaction imho, and glitches occur, but its been my experience buck is one of the ones who will go the extra mile for ya.

I am glad that's all cleared up. Buck has got some very good people.
I have been hearing nothing but accolades about them.

Over at the Buck Knives forum, they treat you like family even if you don't own a single Buck knife.

:) :)

FWIW I have had nothing but great luck with Joe. When something wasn't quite right, he stepped up and made sure it was corrected quickly.
As far as I am concerned Buck has great service; apparently you just need to talk to the right guy!:D
