Well here they are, my small ENER-G and a new Shallot!(that arrived on Friday, to my surprise ;))

They compliment themselves well. The Shallot is quite a strong workhorse having the frame lock. It was able to handle rough tasks such as light battoning (.5 inch diameter wood) and it readily sliced up milk cartons.

However, for finer tasks the ENER-G excells. A big thanks to Kershaw for producing such fine cuterly!

Glad you enjoy em, and nice pics! I've got the Shallot and the large ENER-G. Both are great knives! I agree that the ENER-G is more suited to slicing...I've always referred to it as a pocket scalpel!

Good pics.

For such an elegant knife the Shallot sure is a brute.
(can't wait for the ZDP-189 composite version).

On the Shallot, is there any problem with the grip if your hand gets sweaty? I haven't handled one yet (on the list!).

On my shallot the handle is just the right shape and size. It fits my hand so well I have no problems holding on with wet hands. Its just about my favorite knife so far!

That shallot knife is a nice design from Ken but I admire his "dead sexy"because of the different inlays into the handle. This knife in full steel ? No , thanks. It looks so cheap.Kershaw should take care of some G10 inlays .

A ZDP-189 Version?

Kershaw you're killing me!!! :grumpy:;)

We're allowed to dream. A limited edition like the TiZDP Mini Cyclone would be the heat, but any version with Titanium scales and either a composite, ZDP, or SG2 blade would positively send me into a swoon.

Forget Ti (don't but still) just put some nice grippy Carbon Fiber inserts in there! That would be awesome!!

I was going to post a ? to Thomas if there was anything planned for the Shallot.

A L.E. TI/ZDP or (s90V) Shallot would make me swoon too.

Please!!! Thomas.

I think I just made a boom boom in my pants! Where are these?!?! Love my Shallot.. The thing is a beast! Throw a thin piece of G-10 on that handle and I'll take it... Money? Not a problem. You give price I give money.

But is the bond as strong? Ti handle?
Strength tests will be under way for these CB blades with more of a smooth transition. They really flow nice with the lines of the knife though. No Ti handle with these.

These are just boutique run concepts at this point. I believe one will happen in ZDP though.

Here is one more
