Hello Everyone,
I hope this finds all you and yours safe and healthy as me and mine are. I am in the process of changing the direction my collection is going and in doing so find myself with a bunch of knives I am going be parting with. A lot of them I will post for sale ( some I already did) and some I would like to pass along to some young folks.
I have already set aside all I will need for future grand children. All my nieces and nephews are wanting something different then knives this year and there isn’t a teen boy or girl in my neighborhood that hasn’t been gifted a Buck 303 at some point or another. So I am coming to the porch for help. I have 5 brand new( only two in boxes) Buck 303 medium stockman knives that need to become a youngsters first real pocket knife or is ready for an upgrade. These knives are from the early 90s so they are 3 spring easy open with that great flat grind. Really the best pocket knife Buck ever made in my opinion.
The rules are rather simple, I am going to give these away so they can be given away. Only enter if you have a youngster in mind that is in need of his or her first real pocket knife or an upgrade on a less then adequate. The knife can go to son, daughter, niece, nephew, the kid that mows your yard or the one that bags your groceries. Perhaps you know of someone from a less fortunate family that has a young man or woman that just needs a pick me up or a job well done. You get the point. I want you winners to make a memory for someone that they will carry for a lifetime like someone did for us.
I’ll leave this open for two weeks ( I’ll close this on Mother’s Day ) to make sure everyone has a chance to think of someone then I’ll choose 5 by random number generator and send them out to the name and address given to me in pm when the winners are notified

Ps. I’ve chosen stockman to help keep These best of the old knives in minds and pockets of the next generation...and it’s all I collect.View attachment 1330230

Not an entry. My grandson already has a few knives from me. His favorite is the Marttiini Little Classic. It is no accident that it has a fixed blade. He hasn’t got much in the way of a thumbnail and lacks the strength in his fingers to pinch open the slipjoints.

We passed a couple of fine afternoons early in the lockdown to turn some sticks into littler sticks.

I salute you for a fine GAW - great idea! Not an entry as I am fresh out of local kids left to give a knife to, and my great nieces and nephews are either too old or too young at the moment. OH

Not an entry.

As others have stated, this is really a wonderful idea! I am afraid I don't have any children and consequently no grandchildren. My nephew is 43 years old and no kids, yet. All the neighbor kids are off to college and beyond. So the only kid around here is the one living in this 67 year old body that could use an overhaul. I, too, am a fan of the Stockman design as I have been carrying one since the 1960s and I understand your desire to collect them. I find it the most useful pocket knife design available without acquiring the venerable Suisse Toolbox. Good luck to all entered!

Not an entry here. My boys have several decent knives already.

I will say, that my first knife that got a lot of pocket time was a similar knife. An Old Timer medium stockman with the same blade configuration, and derelin scales. That knife is long gone (,stolen out of my coat pocket at school in the 1980's).

Thanks for your generosity!

Not an entry, but thanks for the generous GAW. Im sure some kids will be thrilled! Hopefully itll get some kids outside making marshmallow sticks instead of watching tv. :)

Super thoughtful. My 9 year old has access to my knives but doesn’t technically have her own. I have no doubt she’d be thrilled with a stockman. I am in.
