I have a chance to get some A2 rounds and D2 rounds around an 1" thick and maybe 2" thick is this something people would be interested in? I am just checking before I pick it up. Let me know.

I see alot of people are looking at this post but no responses. I don't know if I should buy it up or let it go to scrap? I was just curious as to interest in it before I buy a bunch up.

I would have to figure out the cost for sure but it would be a good price. I might go ahead and pick up some of it and post it up. I will let ya know Phillip once it is in.

Ok, thanks. I'd especially be interested in the D2.

Went over today and checked it out and it looks like they got rid of most of the D2. They had lots of A2 left in 1" round and 3/4" round. I am not sure if I should get it or not. If I did I would probably sell it at $3.00 a pound. If there is any interest let me know if not it is going to scrap.

I think I'll pass on the A2, but if you can get any D2, even the 2" stuff, I'll take some.

I would hesitate on the D2 rounds, especially 2", but I hand forge. I have been using 3/4" A2 rounds of and on for a couple of years and it makes a fine knife. It is very stiff stuff under the hammer, noticably harder to forge than 52100.
