A2 Wakizashi Build along

Absolutely nothing I dislike about that blade. Fantastic build.

Thanks so much to everyone who commented, critiqued or was speechless. ;)

I have a feeling there will be quite a few more in this style and size in the future.

I've said it elsewhere, but it warrants repeating. Awesome. You were doing cool stuff when I first became aware of your work, and you keep upping the ante. :)

Awesome WIP, awesome piece. Terrific result.

The feeling is mutual James!!

Ben,

You kinda came onto my radar outa no where. "Hey here is a full tang hatchet I made." " I have a knife for you all to look at." Not even once, have I see you make something that I thought wasnt very well done.
Then I googled a few knife styles I love and kept getting results where I said to myself, "Damn, thats a nice knife." and when I looked, it was one of yours ..lol
This sword is just adding to my admiration of your stuff. Keep up the good work. I might need to be talking to you soon about a hawk, trailing point pair.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it!!

Did you start to sell these yet? If so, how much are you charging?

Thanks

It had a 220 grit hand rubbed finish, and then I went over it with a red scotch brite pad. The antiquing process is the cold blue/bleach method. There is tons of info on it in the knife makers discussion, so I won't go into major details.

I was torn on the sheath Joe. My first thought was to make a hybrid kydex, leather covered saya. Right now I am making a special leather sheath for it, I may make a hybrid one as well. This isn't a commissioned piece, so I am just trying to guess what will be wanted for it. Whoever buys it can request whatever they like.

That is an 8" fullered version of my BDU Scout, I should be finishing it up next week. I will share pics when it is done.
No Hamon.
And thanks for the generous offer. Shipping will be killer. ;)

Yes I sell them. I am using 3V now though.
You can email me to talk about pricing.
