AA LB best fighting knife ever?

I got an Attack in one of the leftover bags from the first round of grab bags. A nice knife, but as with others not right in my hand. Too much designed as a fighting knife, which I just did not need, so I thought I'd sell it but got to thinking.
Since it had been a good deal I figure I should just change it a bit.

Dyed antler, did them myself, my brother got them at a pet store, dog chews, hey wait a minute I need those more than the dog.

With so many styles of knife fighting it is literally impossible to be the best fighting knife ever. Unless that knife shoots bullets!

Sweet, now I know what my next project in line is.

True but if were looking at features, the AALB is fully loaded. What knife its size would you put against it, its going to have the same feaures plus many more that the other knife doesnt.

I'll take a RANDALL #1 everyday. It's not INFI it's not a complicated design that only fits a certain hand and it's been around for 70+years. And it will perform all the cutting ,slashing, stabbing tasks you require.
For a fighting knife it needs to be quick and effective and I'm not going to Razzle Dazzle my opponent by pointing out that my Knife has more Cool features.

I did not use that particular WORD for a reason...this is a family friendly forum. However if needed I can Perform that task.

I hear you loud and clear, Im just pointing out that the AALB has more ways to get it done, and the features arent there for coolness, theyre very useable and deadly. Lets say the blades are relatively even when it comes to the edges of the blade, the AALB then has a brass knuckle and skull crusher that a regular fixed blade doesnt.

Technique, and practice drills play the biggest role. A wrist block w/forearm slice, lung punch, hamstring cut to a carotid punch. Can be achieved in less than a second. There hundreds of variations of these defense/attack combinations. My brother and I drill regularly with chalk loaded rubber training knives. If a person doesn't put in the time to have these skills commented to muscle memory the entire idea is mute.
I would put my preferred Hell Razor, TGLB'S or even my EDC MrS up against any blade in unskilled hands.

Just my 2 cents.

The discipline of "Per-Sev" perforate and sever are certainly skills that must be practiced and committed to muscle memory and reflex actions. This is the one drawback to the AA which captures your fingers in the Knucks and restricts the ease of handle/blade rotation for blocking and striking. You must either commit to Forward blade grip or Reverse blade grip and hope which ever works in your favor.
If a knife comes into play I'm in favor of the business pointy end. I'm not concerned about busting someone in the mug with knucks or skull crushing...It's A KNIFE POINTY sharp end first!

There's only one way to settle this: we need rubber versions of the AALB, Randall #1, TGLB, Hellrazor and whatever knife we want to compete with, meet up at the next Blade show, load the edges and striking surfaces with chalk and MAY THE BEST BLADE WIN!!!1 :D:eek::p:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

It's not a video game or Hollywood silver screen adventure...if you have to pull a knife you are beyond game play. 1% of the time when a firearm is brandished it's used....100% of the time when a knife is pulled it's used. My Opinion is that my Randall was my first mistress in 1968 in the Pearl of the Orient during the first Tet Offensive she never let down and is the Centerpiece to my rather large collection of sharp pointy knives. Your opinion is that nothing will match the AALB opinions vary. Find a Randall and do some testing.

They are very nice blades that will slash & stab as good as any but it limits your options in the heat of defending yourself. You can not reverse grip or go offhand these limitations are just unacceptable to me. This is only my opinion and I'm nobody, just a good'ole boy that likes my guns n knives for hunting, fishing and God forbid self defense.
Also realistically if that day ever comes I will only have my EDC modded MrS and Glock (unless I'm at work). Never bring a knife to a gunfight. :D
