I found a really cool little trail and camping spot. The wife and I went out the the other night so she could practice some emergency fire making. This place is really cool. Unfortunately, the trash from when it was a working campsite is still around. i think I might go out there this weekend and clean it up. You can see the old trash bin and trash in the background of some of the pictures.

This is when we first got out there. The wife started making an emergency fire. The first few pictures look weird because I had the flash on and it didn't need it. It was actually daytime.

Here's the little camping area. Other than some really old trash, it's really nice. There's a cool little stream running next to it and it's good and secluded.

Now this is why it's so interesting. This abandoned campsite is at the end of an abandoned trail in the middle of a very strange area to find a trail and campsite like this. This is the walk out. The trail is paved.

There are old park benches every once in a while. Most are destroyed by time. Here are a few of them. This paved trail is REALLY long and stretches WAY back into some woods.

Here's one with...what's that?... a restaurant napkin on it? How did that get there. It must have blown all the over over into the middle of the woods!

What is this? A wall built into the side of the wilderness?

A restaurant bucket?

Whoah, does she have a similarly outdoor inclined sister?:D
Really nice machete sheath, where did you get that?
That really is the park that everyone forgot about, you guys must be the only hikers in your town.

Apparently, where all of this city sits USED to be a big huge wilderness park complete with walking and biking pathways. It has since been forgotten and built upon. I guess after all of the city started building around it, this place was just forgotten. I saw this little paved strip a few times and finally followed it to see what it was. I'm glad I did. This was a really cool find.

Glad you decide to clean it up.
Its a shame how some people leave the campsites.
Looks like a nice spot by the way.

looks like an awesome time man ...... is that an Izula ?

Yes it is :D Two of them. One prototype and one pre-production.

She does have a similar sister. Unfortunately her sister is only 13 so you got some time. I'd find someone else in the meantime. ;)

The machetes and sheaths are from South America.

An amazing spot for sure! i hope you two can enjoy that spot again and keep it a private little area.

I got as far as the pink Izula, how the hell did you get that?

Now I will go back and check the rest of your pics and posts.

Edit; never mind, I found the post on RC Forums.

Ok I went back and checked out the rest of your posts.

Great pics, your wife is adorable.

Looks like you found yourself a lil oasis in the city.

Congrats bro!

You've found a beautiful place there!

You know, I would almost swear I've seen a painting/picture very similar to the shots of the path with the bench and trees either side. Can't find it now.
