All, what i know is, that when Bram was here in the Prague, March 2004, he show me two prototypes, two sizes of Abanikos and in this time he told to me, that these knives will produce ...hm, hm, hm ...who..i forget who ...

Last info, what i have from him is - January 2005, Las Vegas, officially will presented. Or, and it will best way, ask Master at Arms Bram Frank at www.cssdsc.com, for detailed infos...

I am convinced that Simona is the Most GORGEOUS woman I have ever seen holding a knife! Just look at Bram, he is trying so hard not to smile! :) How could you not smile in the presense of such a Beautiful woman!

Nice knives!
And you are so pretty that, with all due respect, you could be a Brazilian girl!

and I would marry you, whether you're Brazillian, Czech, Russian, Asian.... :D

Okay, so you're "hot"... LOL!!! ;)

What impresses me most, Simona, is your maturity - regardless of the crap that may have been aimed your way, whether deserved or not, you seem to be able to deal with the flack in a mature way and can carry on sharing your interest in knives and providing these forums with some very high quality stuff... no, not your booty  - your photography and your intelligent interaction regarding the subject of knives! :D

I am always pleasantly suprised when I run across one of your photographic essays... Keep posting - you have a very refreshing outlook on blades and collecting... Thank you...

And if you ever get out to the Great Northwest of the ol' US of A, I'll introduce you to the finer brewed options we offer and look forward to discussing their merits relative to the wonderful brews I hear are produced in your part of the world... Heck, we may even talk about knives!!! After all, we make 'em out here, too!!!LOL!!!! :D

Here are some custom Fixed blade guntings. It seems that the knives you are showing are the production versions of them, or am I wrong?

I see... but its sure some custom work also..., Bram told me, that price will be 80-100usd, and black blade probably, but it can be change, who know now...

Great looking knives! They have lines that remind of Greco's knives, some of may favorites. If they handle like the Gunting, they will be a steal for under $100.

I hope i'm not talking out of turn, but as I remember, the Abaniko protos were made by Rob newton. They are the knives pictured with Bram and Sia. Ontario knives will make the production models, and I believe that they will come out for SHOT in Jan.

Ontario? Uh oh... they better get this one right or maybe Bram will come after them to straighten them up a bit :p

Omegatactical will sell me a "live" gunting with sharp point, edge and serrated ramp, but they won't sell me a CRMIPT because I'm not LEO, military or security???? I really hate that BS! Note to self: don't ever buy anything from omegatactical.

I believe that was a Bram requirement and not an omegatactical thing. And I may be wrong but I think the LEO only thing was scrapped. Not entirely sure though, I could be very wrong.

Bram showed me this piece at the 2003 SHOT show. It had a kydex breakout sheath for very fast deployment. Very sweet piece of steel!

Bram i have a question, i see that your abanico's are double edged. I think it is a usefull thing to have on a knife, IF it's legal. Because it is illegal to have bouble edged "dagger type" knives, with a hilt, i could never own one without it beeing illegal in Belgium. Now my question, i practice Inayan style Escrima (IKEAF), and we learn to turn our weapon (baston, knife, bolo, pinuti) during the cuts, so the "edge" is always pointed toward the BG body. We never practised abanico (fanning) with anything double edged. We get our ass kicked when the guro sees us twisting our hand during the strikes, because we have to remember that the baston is just a non lethal version of a sharpened blade. I don't doubt that it is usefull , but is it necesary on a knife to have two sharpened edges on a FMA style blade?
Won't your pratice kick in when using the knife in a SD situation, and u will keep using it as a single edger?

Hi loki, this is not double blade, its false edge...

But when i will have this one (smaller version), i have plan for customizing :
mirror polishing, double blade and instead triangle hole round hole

They look like something out of the 'Star Wars' movies (or maybe the 'Blade' movies) :)

Anyways, I guess I'm more of a 'traditionalist', as I prefer a full guard made from a separate piece of metal ...on large fixed-blade knives.

The downside to this type of a design would be that an opponents blade could slide down the side of the knife directly into your hand unobstructed. Game over.
Maybe a pin thru the ricasso to deflect a wayward opponents blade from one's hand would solve that problem, though.

ah yes now i see. Maybe i should consider buying on, are they available commercially and affordable? :D
