Just replying based off the title, as I can't read whatever the body text is in..

But yes, based on corrosion and edge retention test I've seen I'm sure it's Vanax. I've had 3 different Kunwu knives at this point, 2 in Vanax and 1 in Elmax. Quality and fit and finish have always been on point.

Much thanks!!!!Could I ask how it is heat treated, depending on your use.

Kunwu Knives is quite new. I would be surprised if anyone had experience with their products yet.
Since they are in Yangjiang would it not be easier to find information about them over there?

I have messaged its mailbox to ask for these information, but KUNWU has replied by contacting their dealer, who apparently has no knowledge of the technical issues involved:oops:.
Obviously, KUNWU has an unprofessional and undedicated customer service department. It makes things difficult

What is the issue you are having? Or are you just looking for a HRC range on their Vanax? I find it odd they can’t (or won’t) give you a range. Unless they purposely don’t want people to know the numbers. Spyderco doesn’t advertise their HRC #s, but they don’t have to. Everyone knows they do a great job of heat treatment based on their performance for a given steel. (Good geometry doesn’t hurt either)

I mean I haven't beat on mine with a hammer or anything, but it seems plenty good in general edc tasks so far.

Holds an edge just as good if not better than most of my 20cv/m390 knives. Also haven't experienced any edge rolling or chipping of any kind.

Haven't needed their customer service yet, so I don't have a clue as far as that is concerned..

Google Translate translates the original as:
Hello everyone! I'm a fishing enthusiast and new to the forum.
Glad to see an affordable vanax like Kunwu's Tao.
But as far as I know, Kunwu is a Chinese company. And the Chinese companies known as Twosun and WE, their steel handling seems to be very bad.
I have seen their retention test once and it was very disappointing and far from what these steels should be.
Some knives made in China even use fake steel! !
So I have these doubts about it.
Is the Wanax of Kunwu real? How about its heat treatment?
Hope someone can confirm these issues!!!!
Thank you so much!

Not sure why

Not sure how this is any kind of mystery. It's listed right on their site: "Blade Material: Vanax HRC 60 to 61"

That's the proper range for Vanax, AFAIK.

I think Kunwu takes heat treatment quite seriously. In my experience they also produce some of the best factory edges in the biz.

This. Though I have not beat on my Padre yet, the reputation of the company in the community (in particular, as regards heat treatment) is good. 60-61 is great for Vanax, which maxes out around 62 (or perhaps even lower, depending on who/what you consult). If the production knives are matching the advertised range, it seems the positive reputation is well-deserved.

I live in CN GuangDong, closed to YangJiang, but I never heard a brand named kunwu,as far as I know, the Chinese always export the best, you may not need to care about quality.I own some US and CN knifes. In US,I love cpk,in CN,changlang and maxace are good choices,i use to test their zwear knife, which is sick!

Check Kunwu's instagram page, the owner's super active and super well loved over there. I've never owned a Kunwu, simply because when I found out about them I already "had too many knives", and can't really justify more. But, from appearances, they look kind of like a Chinese version of Spyderco. That is, they have a super colt following based on quality, and based on being really the only ones who are pushing heat treatment protocols and cool different steels.

It is said that Vannax is rather difficult to heat treat because of its high nitrogen content. So I was wondering if there's an electron microscope or a spectrum or something like that ,,,,,I know this may be too harsh, but only these instruments can make a definitive conclusion。
