How is the warranty and customer service at leatherman? My dad has a leatherman blast or wave i am not exactly sure . Today while at work the lock that locks the blade in place broke and he has only had since christmas.

Leatherman offers a 25 year warranty, so your covered. I've never had to use their warranty department, but have called several times to ask questions and they have always been very helpful and courteous.

I know of several people who sent in their Leatherman to have it fixed. No issues what so ever.

My experience was positive. Turn around was about two weeks once they received my broken Supertool, got it back repaired.

top notch! I've sent two pliers in and one had a broken jaw and the other had issue's. They sent me new pliers. Very happy no problems. They just act and ask no questions.

After I broke something on my seventh Wave, I got tired of buying new ones. I e-mailed them, explaining that I had a number of broken tools, that the damage to all of them was my fault and shouldn't be considered warranty, and asked if I could get them repaired for a fee. Their reply was "They are covered. Send them in."

I boxed up 2 original PSTs, two Micras, one Supertool, and seven Waves and sent them in. About two weeks later, I got them all back as good as new. Total cost was postage one way.

I'm a Leatherman Lifetime Customer. :D

LEATHERMAN Sells me tools at cost so I can give them to the troops in my Warontroopboredom program. Great company, great product.

I sent my Blast in around Christmas time and it took two weeks to get fixed. I thought that was very fast, but they sent a letter apologizing for being slow at the holiday time. Great service and a great attitude.

7 waves?

I was disappointed they don't sharpen the scissors any more.
I have a couple of Micra's that need help.
Anyone have any ideas?
Sharpmaker wont work - scissor wont open wide enough.

Eight counting the one I was carrying when I sent them in. I have since given several away as gifts. I love the tool, but I tend to exceed its limits. On the plus side, I haven't broken one in several years now.

I sent my old SuperTool to have the Phillips head repaired. About two weeks to get it back. Only downside was that they re-profiled the small flat head that I had ground off to use as an awl...

I sent a Kick back with broken pliers,I had bought the knife used, they fixed it no problem,I've got a Wave with a tip broken off of one of the pliers jaws that I have to get back to them also.Great company to deal with.

Anything I can add would just be redundant. I sent in a Charge TTi that I had had for maybe three or four months for warranty repair. It wasn't broken or anything, but the plier heads wouldn't close completely without massive resistance. Off the Charge went to LM, back it came smooth as silk.

I'm glad I read this I just bought a pink leatherman mulit tool. A girl has got to have her pink ever if she likes boy toys. HAHA:D

Leatherman is a great company. I sent in a Wave and a Supertool with broken jaws and they repaired them no questions asked. I have never heard of anyone having trouble with Leatherman warranty service.
