About ready to bite the bullet, a little help.

The SAR4 is actually a shade under 5" and is stouter than the SAR5. You are not going to break it. For that matter, we would be astounded if you could break the 'skinny' ASH at 0.187" thick.

wrt the Mistress... if you will carrying it much at all, then get the CGFBM, plenty of chop there. But if you just need a dedicated chopper for home/camp/trunk/truck, then the NMFBM is for you. It's a chopping monster.

My favorites, the two I would never get rid of is the NMFBM and the CG Ash 1

The Battlemistress is just sick, and the ash just feels so perfect in my hand. I've decimated some trees in the yard with the Mistress, and I chopped through a nail in one w/ my ash a few weeks ago, as well as an old mailbox.
These knives are tough and truthfully, you can't go wront with just about any of them.

Here's my two babes.

My recommendation for the EDC role would be either a SAR4 or BATAC. The NARK is also right up there, but they are as rare as rocking horse poop.

Lefty, my socom II just crawled out of the safe and said it'd look great together with an NMFBM, wow that's a large blade. So many choices, i'll figure something out.

I own a NMFBM. You simply can't beat it. Anyone who can't walk a 5 mile hike with it strapped to his hip, is a nancy. I also own a Skinny Ash1. I'd recommend it too, although I wouldn't consider it EDC. If you're not absolutely stuck on Busse, I think Swamp Rat and Scrap yard have better options in the EDC category. But you said Busse so...

Anyone who considers 5 miles a hike is a nancy ;)

Hahaha... ok, good burn. I've seen some of the pictures of the dudes around here... 5 meters is a hike. :D Seriously though, I generally do over-nighters or two, with a 5-8 mile stretch of ridge line hike between, with a 40lb pack (and a case of hinekens). A 3lb knife isn't that bad.

My vote for the best all round "if I only had one busse blade" would be a nmsfno...or an Ash!
