About serrations

Hope you like it! I only have one condition...if you don't like it, pass it along to another forum member. :)

JD, you need the Delica Wharnie in SE. Nice shallow serrations.

I already have an old school 440V, fully serrated NATIVE model which serves me very well for that size range. Now I've owned Spyderedged Delica and Endura models both. I actually found my old ATS-55 SE Endura to be quite a nice Spyderedge for hard work. And I've also found that the old ATS-55 blade steel made for nice Spyderedges.

I've also been told that the old AUS-8 Caly Jr. in full SE made a really nice Spyderedge blade for that size range as well. I have an older AUS-8 Catcherman fully serrated that is one of my most loved food prep models which is why I'm kind of high on that blade steel for serrated edges.

There are more factors that go into the makeup of a good serrated blade than just the blade steel>> but the blade steel does play a big part in it. Having good purchase/grip is a huge part of it as well keeping your blade sharp.
