About to buy a Manix, but

Thanks everyone. I thought it over and over and decided that what I really wanted was a tough folder for when I went into the woods and didn't want to carry a fixed blade. Hopefully IWB is doable like some say. Decided on the Manix and should get it next week or so.

Came across your thread while looking for information on waving knives. Had to write and see how you're doing with your Manix. I hope you went ahead and got it!

I've been carrying my Manix daily for close to a year now, and love it. I carry it in my right front pocket when I can, or clipped inside the waist of my pants when I don't want it to show. It's completely comfortable there -- I have no idea I'm even carrying it.

I don't think a smooth handled knife is what you want inside your pants. I carry my Byrd Crossbill there sometimes, and it seems to make my pants want to sag. The G10 on the Manix, on the other hand, holds well without abrading. I've had no problems whatsoever with it wearing any of my pants. I've also been impressed with how well the G10 wears -- even the end far enough in my pocket to rattle against my keys and change doesn't have any noticeable wear.

This is a wonderful knife! Sure hope you got one. Now, I may have to get the smaller version...........

I think the Delica/Endura line would be great for IWB. I can carry my D4 Wave IWB and forget its even there while wearing basketball shorts.

The Military is excellent IWB, especially right behind the hip bone. I find it preferable to the Para-Military for IWB carry, actually, due to the slightly more rounded spine and tang.
