Hi Friends,
Thanks for the pix guys. Dan you went above and beyond the call of duty...THANKS!!!
The whole weekend was a class act all the way. All the old timers and JS and MS folks were great. The New England School of Metalsmithing was the perfect venue and their staff was FANTASTIC.
Mace thanks for the jar of Indian George's heat treat relish. I was excited to see that Dan Pierson donated it to the fund raising auction as I forgot to get on from IG when I was at his hammer in. The bidding was too fast and furious for me and you trumped me, just to turn around and make a gift of it to me. Classy dude, way classy.
Oh, and thanks for giving ten bars of your 1084 back to Aldo so he could resell it to me. That guy's something else. I wonder how many times he typically sells a bar???

It was good meeting you in the flesh Aldo. Thanks for the gifts of bits and bars of steel. I know how hard it was for you to part with the stuff. (He was biting his forearms and drawing blood as he handed each piece to me.

)
Another forum member, Shawn Fu gifted me a couple a bars of 1084 too. Of course, he mentioned there were strings attached. Something to do with a knife whenever I get one finished. (That list is growing way faster than my capacities to fill it.)
I even purchased a couple of hefty rods of wrought iron donated to the fund raising auction by a farrier, whose name I am embarrassed to admit I've forgotten.

I added it to the crate of steel and supplies I'm freighting back to Hawaii.
All in all, I had a wonder filled time at IG's the weekend before and then at this ABS Symposium. Thanks everyone!
All the best, Phil
