if there isn't already countless threads on this forum I just now joined (for this very reason mostly, but the website is looking invaluable) about this fag SCAMMING 35+ forum members on the ColdSteel forum for over $1000+ dollars promising some cool personalized knife which no one ever received...

this guy is top notch class-act douche bag material, so take heed and take notice.

The OP seems over the line with name calling and devoid of actual info.

The actual situation, as I understand it, is that Abs took orders on another forum for buying some production knives (Pocket Bushmans), having them coated and engraved, and shipping them to the buyers. Afterwards he dropped off that forum and hasn't responded to any inquiries through email, BFC PMs, etc. He is active here though, so I'll shoot him a PM to let him know about this thread.

As far as I know, Abs has a good rep, so I assume there's an explanation here.

We prefer facts to emotion here. More information on what happened and less shouting and insulting. We are not a clearing house for other forums' problems, so if we don't get specifics, we won't tend to take the allegations as seriously.
 
I would ask if its the same person, but thats an unusual name...

Hopefully there is a good explanation. To the OP, you could have made your point in a lot different manner. It doesn't look good , especially for your first post.
Were you one of the ones supposedly lost money? I say supposedly because we haven't heard both sides of the story yet...
Most of us here tend to take irrate first posts with a grain of salt, until it is proven fact.


Although if its true, you have a right to be irrate.

The thread is true on the other forum, I will confirm that much, other than that I am not going to say anything about it here.

Interested parties can go over there and read it if they wish.

Waiting to see if he responds here or over on the other forum.

I have been in touch with several members of the CS forum and have let them know what is happening. You are a full blown liar yourself btw...were you one of the ones who check bounced?

as for the 22 who paid they will get their knives.

please quit calling my family members and harassing them please.

What Ankerson said.....I am one of the 22 who paid 6 months ago, & haven't heard a thing since you cashed the check.

If you have problems, you owe others on the CS Forum some kind of explanation.

Otherwise, what do you expect?

I'm reading this forum for quite a while now, and didn't post untill now.
So i'm sorry that this has to be my first post.

Absintheur, you're right, you were in touch with some of the members on the CS forum. But that has been longer than a month ago. All we've asked you was to give us a status of the project from time to time. For the last few month you didn't post a word in the forum. No explanation of any kind. Untill one of us got hold on your family and after that on you.
During these months you kept posting here, that's fine, but why not a simple post on the Cs forum to tell us how things are going.

Can you blame the people who ordered such a knife and paid for it to ask for some update's. It's been going on now from the 10th of July 2009. So no wonder people think that they are being ripped off.

You were even a moderator on the CS forum, so i think you should know that acting like this will cause problems.

I'm one of the 22 who paid, my check didn't bounce, and until the link to this thread was posted over on CS forums I hadn't heard any updates from Abs regarding the CS forum knife in months. Honesty and commuication regarding the status, especially if there are problems along the way, would do wonders for people's attitudes. I feel like a WORLD CLASS sucker for adding an extra "thank you for the work in putting this together" gift when I sent my check.

But regardless of the CS forum knife problems, I agree that it's not right to harass your family members. An initial contact with them to try to get in touch with somebody who's disappeared is fine, but continued unwanted contact with uninvolved family members is wrong. You can't punish somebody else for the actions of their relatives. I know from personal experience what it's like to have bill collectors calling to chase after a relative. How effective is harassing the relatives going to be if, like me, they've already kicked the offended out of the house for the same behavior. If we relatives can't get the offender to pay what's owed to us, how do you expect us to get the offender to pay a third party. It might make people feel better to harass the relatives, but in reality it's most likely just attacking people that are in the same boat as the rest of us. It's bad enough to be betrayed by relatives, why make it worse.

Absintheur's actions regarding the CS Forum knife have been wrong, but he is right to ask that his relatives be left alone.
 
I am one of the ones that would not place an order for knife in the first place because I didn't trust you because other unpleasant experiences with you. I had hoped that I was wrong about you for the sake of the people that did send you money for a knife. I am sorry to say it appears I was right about you from the start. You say you were short on payments on one hand but let one member (a close friend or yours) sell his rights to the knife that never was to another member. I think that member has been stuck for two payments. Funny how never once did you ever mention short pays on the CS forums.

EDIT I did find that you had said there were some short pays My Mistake

Ok...just to let eveyone know things are progressing, I had a couple late pays and I waited for them but the blades and handles should go out this week for the work. I did get stuck with a few knives due to non-payment but not many. Things have settled down as far as the family problems that were tying up much of my time and I should be back and much more active in the forums once more. AUG 24 2009


I realize that sometime deals go bad but the way this has been handled leaves little room for words like "honor" and "good faith" which you used to say was your stock and trade.

I did hear you had a mild heart attack and I am sorry for you if you suffered. I too had a mild heart attack, damn thing made me miss 3 day of work. Yours must have been much more debilitating. There have been lots of stories and explanations as to why the knives have been delayed. You should sort them out and come up with one reasonable story, a reasonable time line for delivery, repayment or some kind of resolution to the events.

I am one of the 22 also that paid, and he did cash my check, I also gave him an extra $10 for the trouble.

If the knife ever does show up I will be the 1st one to say so in this thread and post photos of it and say he was really on the up and up.

I won't be holding my breath waiting on it though. ;)

I am not lets say very optimistic at this point that will ever happen.
 
i paid, and even asked you twice to just send me the knife you said you had, without sending it away for the mods. both times you said you had the knife ready and would post it to me the next day. i did this because of suspicions other people that i trust had. i guess they were right, i dont think it takes 4 months for a package to reach england. the second time i asked you was over 2 months ago, still waiting.......

btw, i do want the forum knife, not just the plain PB, but would sooner get the plain old PB rather then nothing.

The OP is not involved, and in no way speaks for the group, who would rather get this resolved in an adult manner.

Inquiry yes; family harassment no. Here's a quote from the Moderator who was trying to track Abs down for a response.

"BTW I have been accused on Bladeforums of harrassing his family. The first contackt I asked his brother for a working phone number and he said sure just a sec and gave it to me. Today I spoke with his sister-in-law and apologize 4 times for disturbing her saturday and told her at least twice I knew she and her husband knew nothing about this and I only hoped they could convey to Abs that he needed to respond. And that the issue was not the delay but the silence. At no time did I feel she was upset and I deeply hope she was not. Upsetting people upsets me and would have ruined my day."

Very true, all we want is an update with a timeline and our knives we paid for. :)

It's very simple really. :thumbup:

What we got was silence for 5 months and with some trying to get into contact with no response wasn't good at all avoiding us so how do you expect people to react? ;)

It's pretty sad when they have to track down family members to find a working phone number just to get in contact because all other methods didn't get any results. :rolleyes:

And that's not even talking about having to come over here to Blade Forums to track him down. :grumpy:

It's really a sad state of affairs the way things turned out and it's not even done yet. :grumpy:

It's really bad having to air another forums problems here doing the cross forum thing, something I never agreed with all these years. :(
