I built this reel from parts I gathered here and there but it has sat, unused, on my shelf it's entire life. I'd be interested in trading for something sharp and pointy of like value. I'm especially interested in folders but would consider the right fixed blade or ax/hawk.

This is a top end saltwater reel, highly desirable and hard to find as Accurate no longer make the conversion parts and those parts you can find will bring top dollar. This reel has it all: Tiburon frame, Accurate sideplates, Accurate handle, Pro Gear star drag wheel and a rare red Penn spool. It also has been fitted with smooth drag washers, a s/s bridge sleeve, s/s yoke and Newell 5:1 gears. No expense was spared putting this reel together. You couldn't ask for more in a Accurate conversion and may never see one as nice as this again.

Make me an offer... impress me. :)

Not familiar with this model, what can you tell me about it? Dimentions/line capacity?

Thanks,

Bill

I think capacity for a Jigmaster is 275/30. This reel is a Penn Jigmaster that's been upgraded with custom made aluminum parts, machined from billet. I use one loaded with 40lb test for bull reds on the Gulf coast. It's a pretty big reel but if it's magged it casts well. Plus, it holds enough line that it can be used for kayaking out baits as well. If you really wanted to load it up, you could probably put three hundred yards or more of powerpro and a 100 yards of 40 lb mono. That said, I just run mono on mine.

Also, to make it clear, this reel was built with parts from a donor Jaigmaster reel and upgraded with Accurate/Tiburon parts. What that means to you is, you get a bulletproof reel that's based on Penn's internal parts that can be found just about anywhere.
