Acid - Etch BK16

Over the course of two days, tumbled by hand for 20 minutes.
Pretty happy with the results.
Still need to sharpen it up, but didn't bring the worksharp, stones, or sandpaper up to visit Pops.

What thinks you?

Thanks Mike!
I was inspired by the mid-tech version of Michael Laconico's Jasmine Flipper. I like the way the blue pops against the blasted gray.

Hoping this one doesn't look too intimidating with blue jeans so I can wear it on suburban hikes without freaking out the locals.
Not that they don't need freaking out - but sometimes I just don't want to hear it.

Screw hope....it looks great, and you should definitely carry it, so...get some earplugs.

Good work on this one! As a completed project, I'd be proud of that BK16 and carry it everywhere possible.

Thank you.
I, too, dig the blue.

Sharpened it up this weekend, but was much to busy doing stuff to take any pics.
Hopefully the hair on my arm will grow back soon...

just wait till your wife asks why you started shaving your legs because your arms are always bald. ;)

I don't know - I'm pretty hairy. Doubt it'll ever come to that.
Usually just test a small area on the wrist - in front of my watch. Can do three or 4 knives before I start looking for other locations.
Have trouble getting the angle right to shave my beard. Too many years using disposable razors.

The Sweet 16 is not called the Sweet 16 just because it is reminiscent of/with the Browning Auto-5 shotgun is shared moniker ... it's a sweet knife!
