It wasn't so bad until I got to this part; "The blade has been heat colored and given an amazing looking tiger striped pattern with gun blue." There's that, and "The handle is made of a damascus-style polymer clay." Riiiiight:rolleyes:

Please tell me this isn't as bad as it looks.

Clicky Linky.

I just quietly closed the tab. I have nothing to add...no commentary of value.
Just gonna move on...

I withhold comment on the blade.
The handle looks like a coprolith.

De gustibus non est disputandum.

Well its not at 62 Rc any more, thats for sure

I'll just quietly move on now as well

The polymer clay handle is the genuine artical... they take two colors of this formula and work them just like mosaic damascus then fire the results and when shaped and polished you get an eyepoping handle. As you can see it holds alot of detail.

It's doesn't look that bad to me.

I'm assuming the clay is just as stable as any of the stabalized woods. I doubt the blade treatment affected things much.

Stupid-looking finish on a nice knife.

I'm not going to pass judgement on the handle. You either like it or hate it---and I hate it. Anyone ever heard of something like bird's-eye maple or micarata? Geeze...

Do find the handle rather attractive. The blade, on the other hand rates :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:

Not quite the aspect of performance the Mule Team project was designed to test.

Handle is interesting - almost like some of the weird dyed burls or custom swirly micartas I've seen. If it was decently durable, I could see the clay getting niche use as a handle material.

I wouldn't pay $200+ to find out if the heat treat survived the camo stripe job and how durable sculpey clay is under batoning.

I seen this on ebay a week ago.
I like it handle looks realy good and i doubt the heat treats been screwed up though i could be wrong.

That handle looks like the fimo clay that hippies make into little pot leaf beads. Not my cup of tea by a long shot.
