active and former military

After looking through alot of posts it seems like a fairly high percentage of members here are or have been in the military, myself included. I thought it might be interesting to see just how many there actually are. So, if you are active, former, retired, guard or reserve please post :)


If you want, tell us what you do/did, units you were in, whatever. You might even find out someone else here was in your same unit. I'll start

Former - I just ETS'd (actually still on terminal leave) from the Army. I was a cook in the 25th ID, Schofield Barracks.
5 years active duty, two deployemts.

As for myself as name implies am in the Guard , Army version and serving the state of New York currently. Mos's held are 13B, 15T, and 15U. Coming up on re-enlistment in February and would like to make a switch to a 68W slot and get that MOS. Though Aviation is rather nice MOS to be in when your on deployment.

BTW: If you don't mind I'd like the recipe for fried cabbage, actually miss the stuff and was discussing it last night.
