AD 20.5 Which blade style?

Yes, it would be nice to see S35VN & G10 or micarta at around $200, and I expect we will something like that later this year.

Sure seems like everyone would like to see that, but from AD, you'd be paying closer to $250-300 I'd bet.

Got the clip point version and it is fantastic. It would be nice if the blade were a bit thinner (thinner is always better), but other than that, no complaints.

Let’s hope this isn’t a flash-in-the-pan sort of thing and they get regular production up & running

Though, I’m getting the feeling these are going to be the next “darling” like the Protech Malibu, coming up for retail in small batches and vanishing within minutes of bring put online.

Yep, I agree. This first drop has certainly been like that. The only way to get one now, AFAICT, is to pay a $50-$150 markup on the secondary market.

^ I already saw one numbered one go for 275.00 and a regular one go for 179.00 ; On ebay they are as high as 350.00 :eek:And to think i got a manix lightweight in s110v for 85.00 these guys are getting jacked real bad i think.its a Cool knife but boy this is just plain crazy.

Anyone get an Andrew Demko 20.5 from Blade Show? What are your thoughts and which blade shape would you choose Clip Point or Shark Foot. Thanks. Kevin
I picked up both the "Shark Foot" and the clip point at Blade Show 2020.. The clip point has "Belly" for cutting tasks. (I like) The Shark Foot is great for cutting boxes.
Demko AD 20.5 Review with Cut Test...
Check out the video posted by "Outpost76" Great video with cut test performance numbers..

I preordered a clip point.

As far as pricing, I think it's heavily influenced by the Demko brothers having to front the money for the production run rather than someone like Cold Steel, along with having to recoup patent expenses and his own overhead (now that he's separated from CS). They also appear to be trying to maintain a separation between the production version and the in-house AD-20. Either way, if the Ritter-Hogue can be made in the US with 20CV and G10 and still retail for $160, Demko has to be making a healthy profit on AUS10A/Grivory made in Taiwan retailing at $150. Hopefully, once Demko Knives is on more stable financial footing, they'll start upgrading materials to match the price.

Clip point arrived Monday, and have the sharksfoot on the way. Now I need to sell some stuff to help pay for them🥺
