Adam and Haley DesRosiers(Consolidated Updates and Donations)

Yeah that's the one. I have that copy here somewhere with the Steven Kelly cover knife. I wasn't sure why I received it but I do plan on subscribing.

I hope to get this piece done in the next week or two for contribution to Adam and Haley

I sold my knife and I sent money to Adam

Thank you so much for that, and thank you Mr. Stephan Fowler for your most generous work as well!

Happy February everyone!

Great job on the auction, Shawn Hatcher!

Talked with Adam last night.

They are helping ABS MS Dave Lisch and his lovely wife Andrea get settled into his new shop, south of Seattle.

The DesRosiers have decided to go with a corrugated metal building with insulation for the shop. Specs are still being worked out.

If anyone has a question about shop progress, feel free to post it, and we will try to get a quick answer.

ABS MS Mike Quesenberry has made a beautiful knife that will be auctioned at the Little Rock Show next weekend...BUT....Ben Tendick is going to set up a FB link and BFC members can bid as well, e-mail me or Ben and we will get the info to Mike. Auction is set to close at 3:00 pm Little Rock time.

These are not glamour shots, these are down and dirty cellphone pics to give you all an idea of what the knife is going to look like.

I'm really enjoying this thread. Pulling together and getting things done. All for two wonderful people.

I am very pleased to say that the winner of my 1911 Combat Survivor Bowie was Bill Flynn, his bid was $900.00 He sent the cash to them. Then he did a very nice thing, he asked me to dedicate the knife to them and send it to them inscribed with "Adam and Haley - New beginnings" and "In Memory of Neva and Shadowynn" Bill also bought them a very nice piece of black mammoth ivory. So a very special tip of the hat to Bill.

Also, we have closed the Adam and Haley benefit ivory sale. I am pleased to say that through the generosity of our customers we were able to raise just under $700.00 for Adam and Haley. A heartfelt thank you to everyone that helped.

Fantastic news Mark. Great gesture by Bill!

Well, I had planned to do a Koa wood knife display box and have it done in time for the March auction. Unfortunately, my woodworking days are over for awhile. Having surgery next week for a torn rotator cuff and will be out of commission for a few months. I let Adam and Haley know that it will be delayed.

Here's wishes for a speedy recovery.

As usual, Mark Knapp undersells his involvement in all this - after all, he made the knife and engraved it and set up the whole ivory fund raiser :thumbup:

I'm happy I was able to help out:cool:

Mark Schilling - good luck with your surgery - I did 5 cuff repairs in the last 2 weeks - no custom knives involved, though, just boring scalpels :D

Resist the urge to get rid of the sling until your doc says it's OK....and remember, the enemy of good is "better". Just follow the program and you'll be fine
