Adam DesRosiers Southwest Bowie

I got to watch Adam perform in the ABS cutting competition last spring in Alabama and then again at the championship event in Atlanta. Adam - hope you don't mind my posting these images. No electricity? You're kidding, right?

Greg Neely presenting Adam with the 2nd place award in Atlanta - You damn near won, Dude!

Check out Adam's focus. Scary!!! Sweet blade too!

Adam gets a round of applause from everyone down at the Batson Bladesmithing Symposium this past spring in Alabama. He's on his way to the finals in Atlanta! (Jason Knight to Adam's left - Wes Byrd, John Fitch, Mike Bauer and other notables are in the background.)

Keith, That is one sensational knife!

I would have to say that one of the many highlights at Blade 2005 was meeting Adam and buying the first knife that he sold at the show. I have to thank Jason Knight, JS, for the introduction. Here is photo of my Blade Show souvenir from Adam. Which feels even better in the hand, than it looks.

Peter,

Nice knife! And here all along I that I had the dubious honor of buying Adam's first knife. C,mon, I had that little wrapped damascus piece in my hand by 12:15! You sure are quick for a big guy :D

Adam,

That knife kicks ass. You had some seriously nice hardware in Alanta, but those dirk styled bowies were the shitz!

Actually you are technically correct and did buy his first knife at the show. I managed to mug him just before he got to the show.

Adam

That's a great looking knife. Nice damascus pattern and a handle (shape and materials) to die for :D :D . Does it have a new home yet?

Marcel

Hey Guys;
Thanks for all the kind words. A guy could get a big head around here if he wasn't carefull.
Peter is a quick character for sure. He got Jason to sell him my knife when I wasn't even there! Thanks Peter. The early bird gets.....
Marcel: No, the poor dear is still homeless, but Randy mumbled something about wanting to "coon-finger" it. I'm working madly to try and get a few knives done this week. If I can pull some off, I may try to hit BAKCA, and I'll bring it with.
Buddy: Those are sweet Pics. Thanks for posting them, I hadn't seen those.
Sure was a good time in Atlanta.
Adam

which last time I checked, there was not.

You can PM me, I am more than passingly interested.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Same for me. For the right price I will give it a new home (far far away over the great ocean ;) ).

So PM me and I will respond as soon as possible.

Marcel

I really like your interpretations of the handle design, Adam. It looks like you actually use your knives rather than just make them for collectors. Specifically, I like the way you make a radiused contour at the guard/handle transition, rather than using a flat plate for the guard with sharp edges. And you've actually put a contoured swell in the center of the grip, with an "axe-handle" butt, instead of just making it straight and slick. I don't like it when big knives fly out of my hand in use. ;)

Adam we don't have electicrity in the country where I'm at but we use an armadilla on a tred mill to produce enough to post pictures. I just need to learn how to take pictures now. By the way awsome knife.
Reggie

Hey folks:
I'm blushing. This is good incentive to learn how to post!
Marcel and Steven, PM's on the way. Sorry about the website. Bit over my head to keep up on that.
Damnit, I thought for sure the Possum and Reggie were the same! Ha-Ha! Thanks Possum, I hate having them fly out of my hand too. This one is a good combination of sticky in the hand and easy on the fingers. Did some serious whacking with it in the early stages. Makes you feel alive! Not a safe queen at all.
Reggie: I been cought twice at the border trying to import armadilloes to AK. Squirmy little bastards! Pretty good eatin' though. Make nice hats too!
Love it.
Adam.

This one is making its way to a new home in sunny South Florida. Can't wait to see it Adam - it was a pleasure talking to you on the phone. Have a great weekend everyone!

Good for you Michael. I'd be willing to bet that you got yourself a great knife. I guess I am going to have to remove it as my avatar now. :grumpy: ... ;)

Keith,

It was my understanding that the blade was just a tad too small...
So maybe I should say "thank you". This is definitely going to take the honor of the biggest damascus knife I own. I can't wait to try this one out. :p

No description of this knife, but I was very impressed and thought you guys would like to see it.

Maybe Adam will come along and tell fill us in.

That's one heck of an impressive-looking bowie. Love those curves. And it came along quite quickly as well. Nothing but smiles for Keith, I am sure.

Roger

Roger, this one isn't mine. Mine is probably a month or so away yet. Adam sent me that photo just so that I could get a look at his latest big knife.
