Admit it... how bad have you cut yourself ?

I'm going to go back 30 years to when I was 16. Slice my knee open to the bone. I thought it was a nick until I took my pants down to put on a Bandaid. Then I noticed I could see my bone. Time to get my mom and get to the ER!

Besides that a couple small cuts and nicks. Nothing major.

I have been fairly lucky. My worst was after sharpening a kitchen knife on the Wicked Edge my hand slipped while taking it off the clamp and took a chunk out of my thumb. No stitches just a lot of pressure and antibiotic and bandaids.

Had a Kershaw cqc get stuck half way open in my pocket. Reached in, it snapped shut on the last knuckle of the middle finger of my right. If it hadnt cut on a slight angle I would have lost a third of that finger. The doctor that stitched me happened to be a knife guy, and was carrying a Spyderco leafstorn.

The Kershaw was not mine, I'd never tried a waved knife before. I was carrying my ZT 0801.
Holy.. how comes it opend? Am gonna buy a cqc
Thnx

Wave opener stuck. My pocket was a little too tight for it to open when drawn. It had a very strong detent, stuck my hand in my pocket and bam snapped closed on my middle finger.

A couple of times over the years. Probably should have had stitches. Have scars left over from it about but that's about it

So I was stripping and splicing wires for 12 volt solar charging setup...
The Military Ka-Bar slipped off the wire end I was stripping, and dove into the pad of my right hand's middle finger.
It rode along the bone, and hit the underside of the fingernail. I stuck the finger in my mouth to catch the blood, and ran to the nearest roll of paper towels I could find. After sucking down what seemed like a quart of corpuscles: I wrapped it up, and used elevation and pressure to calm things down.
And that damn fingertip is STILL numb!
Why was I using so much knife for an easy job?
If you know the answer: PLEASE tell me!

Not recently but as a kid I sliced the tip of my thumb with a Gerber multi-tool requiring 3 stitches, a utility knife through the web of my hand between my thumb and index finger requiring 12 stitches. The worst one by far is reaching into some piece of garbage pocket during a pat down and slicing my index finger on a spyderco that was partially open and severed some nerves requiring 6 stitches and some glue. Honestly that one was my dumb ass not paying attention but I still have little feelings in that finger tip.

As a kid, playing with a knife, I somehow managed to pierce the blade all the way through my left index finger.

My worst cut when I was around 12 ys old. With a Victorinox Swiss Champ while whittling. I remember the huge bleeding and my agitated mom and dad.
Now I juggle with Kiku's wih no fear :D

Looks a bit like a sloppy, incompetent suicide attempt ! ;)

Too strong?
Still don't get how it happened.
Wat do to avoid

I was fidgeting with one of the Ritter knives I bought as a gift for my dad (had to check-it out and make sure it was good obviously before gifting).. I was on a work call during this and somehow stabbed directly into my left hand below the pinky while not paying attention. I had to remain calm and finish the call but I have never bled so much and I almost had to excuse myself. Blood everywhere... It took over a month to close (went in deep.. about an inch long gap in my hand ) and now I can't feel part of my hand almost a year later. Good times with nerve damage...yes I feel stupid.

If a knife bites me I consider it a keeper but since it was a gift to my old man and we share blood I cleaned her up and back in the box it went for wrapping!

I am 75, and have "minor" knife scars in abundance, living, of course, by the creed that a bared blade must be satisfied with blood. Lol

Ive got multiple scars but the most recent and painful was stabbing myself in the foot for a buck 110. It went through my show and sock into my foot, luckily right between two toes where it couldnt really do any damage other than a deep flesh wound. A millimeter left or right and it would have gotten a tendon.
