Adventures in Blade Land - PIC INTENSIVE

That is a Apprentice Steel Heart... the first I've seen with micarta... mine now feels naked with it's simple paracord wrap.

Do I win the knife :D

Holy crap. Talk about diving snout-first into the trough. I love the satin and black (duh!) clipped SH-1 variant. That was just about my favorite of the ones Jerry showed us.

Yikes!!!!!!!

What a cool payload!!!

I am very impressed and more than a little jealous.

What a great score. If you ever get tired of the AD with blue g10 handle;) ,it would go great with my BM proto.:D

Well...pretty darn good guess! But GravelFace got there first -- and correctly identified the steel, as well. RWH is also well aware of its provenance, having talked with the previous owner.

You're all smarter than me. I didn't know WHAT I was looking at, until the previous owner enlightened me. It's great to own a little piece of history.

Sadly, my acquisitive nature...honed at the trough...forces me to retain the item in question.

However, both Jason (GravelFace) and Raden do get bonus points!! I'm just not sure what to do about (with?) those points...yet!:D

Wow, I had no idea you managed to score so many! I'm sold on the Active Duty now after getting to handle both your blue custom and MikeH's snakeskin, I'll be picking one of them up next !

It was great meeting you and your family at Blade by the way, your wife's enthusiasm is inspiring ! ( any tips on how to get my wife onboard ?)

Lost For Words:eek:

Jamie, I saw you grabbing up some nice INFI but how did you get away with this kind of haul:confused: Talk about a Stealth HOG !!!

And you don't even have a pic up yet of the one I tried to trade you out of.

You and Mrs OP make one heck of an INFI buying force:thumbup:

I'm glad you enjoyed the pics, Rob. Certainly, the Mrs. and I enjoyed meeting you...and envy your exotic lifestyle!

How to get wife onboard? Whew...that's tough. I'm not sure WHY she suddenly became so supportive of my awkward habit. Perhaps you should start with a multi-decade relationship?

It might also be that I've been able to afford support to some of my wife's habits over the many, many years. And I didn't get too pushy.

My best guess is 'shopping frenzy.' Mrs. OP is a heckuva shopper -- and once that frenzy started at the trough...

Perhaps Mrs. McKrob should come along to the next Blade? The enthusiasm could be infectious...:)

Holy crap!...I'm impressed. From a game warden score at BCS here and there to supreme hog....well done.

I think that part of the problem is that each blade I buy represents more than a month's salary for an average Peruvian.. (a typical wage here is about 30 Soles or 9 $US per day)...

My wife thinks I only bought three knives at Blade (she was OK with that), I haven't told her yet about the other eight I mailed back to Canada...

I'll hide them for ya!:D

OP, great haul!!! where's the drool icon???

Mailing to another nation-state. That's a good trick I'd never thought of... :D
