Well this post has made me realize one thing--there doesn't seem to be a straightforward way to get consistent serrations--I was hoping for a more technically accurate way of doing them--I think I'm gonna try Stacy's method of a file and a rod.....

You can have a a 1-2" wheel made with the serrations cut into the face so all you do is lay your edge down into the wheel... But they run $500-600. I haven't used one yet but have the standard serration (1 lg 2 sm) already in a cad file for when I do. I had spyderco's serrations mapped out because I've heard they cut best out there on folders, and not trademarked or patented or anything. Right now I just us a radius'd cbn wheel with coolant and it's amazing.
