AEB-L Heat Treat Problem?

Some cant follow simple directions!

100% hit the nail on the head. If I had foil, and knew how it effected performance, I probably would have used it. Cryo? I read it was beneficial but not needed and only gained a few RC points which didn't mean the world to me. And I agree most are some pretty decent guys and this is pretty relaxed. Everybody has the perfect method though, right?

Don't let guys dazzle you w/ bullshit. Follow the direction and you wont have a problem.

"Actually, you are partially wrong. The dry ice is never in contact with the blade because there is a layer of CO2 gas between the two caused by sublimation. Gas is a poor conduit for heat. Using a liquid allows the liquid to transfer the heat much more efficiently. Denatured alcohol is a better liquid than acetone."

Excellent observation, Stacy.
Why is it that none of the pictures are viewable

Hey Bill, you are posting on a really old thread. Most likely the site hosting the pics has gone down, or the address has changed, or the person who posted them removed them.

Well, photobucket changed hands or changed hosting policies or something, it's epidemic all over the internet, forums especially, since almost everyone used it. Frankly it was inevitable. None of the free hosting options are going to have longevity, they only offer that to try and drum up business in the first place.

It's pretty cheap to host your images on your own "website" however. I don't have a website, but I have a domain and hosting that costs me very little (less than BF membership), with no fear of my images disappearing. Overall, site hosting just gets cheaper every year, just like domain registration and maintenance, and in many cases it's stone simple to administrate.

Sign up for a cheap website hosting service, even if you don't use your own domain, and you upload your photos there (that way nobody owns them but you, many of the free hosting companies, and places like facebook, etc. *OWN* your content that you upload, and can use them for any purposes they please), and simply link them here. It's faster, no size restrictions, and persistent.
