AFAustin's 4th Annual “Going to the Dogs” Sale—Part 4 (Final Thread) ALL SOLD

Well, this morning I added up the sales and proceeds from all the threads I've put up in support of the cause, and I was very pleasantly surprised at the totals. Including the modern knives generously donated by Gundawg/John as described here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ing-to-the-Dogs”-Sale-(moderns)-(Knives-Added!) there were a total of 26 knives sold (including a few I ended up selling on ebay), with gross proceeds of $1037.00. I didn't want to take out for PayPal, shipping, etc., so as to get the max amount to the pups, so I made out the check for the full amount.

This afternoon my wife and I made it over to the "Woofstock" benefit and presented the check. They were having a great turnout and, with the matching donations, I hope they made a bucket of money for the pups. They were very happy and appreciative to receive our contribution and we were so glad we could do it.

Thanks again to everybody who bought a knife and otherwise generously supported my 4th Annual "Going to the Dogs Sale". I'm calling it a great success. :thumbup::)

Well done Andrew. My Norfolk is all the more special knowing that the proceeds from my purchase went to a very good cause.
 
Andrew, I just wanted to say first and foremost you're a heck of guy for putting this together and for being so generous. My first best friend was a big white Boxer named Butch and I've had a soft spot in my heart for all the critters ever since. So on behalf of myself and all the good dogs I've ever known, thanks.

Secondly, I wanted to remark what an organized and efficient seller you've been, considering all the sales you've made this weekend and the fundraising, well I just wanted say I'm impressed. You're a good man and those pooches are lucky you're around.

Thank you, guys, for the very kind words. This has been great fun for me, combining as it does two things I dearly love---dogs and knives. :)
