Newest member of the family. BM 806BK-901 LE CPM-M4 version. Sold one of these years ago and regretted it ever since. Got this beauty over the weekend. Any other AFCK lovers out there?

Me too. This is my Grail from the AFCK series...NIB 800HS:

I also own a satin PE 800 and 812 in ATS-34.

Here's one that was never put into production.

Neuron,

That's awesome! Is it a mini or full size? The blade looks a lot like the Stryker tanto blade design of the time minus the hole of course. Not the same but I can see some similarities.

Really nice and unique find! A real beauty!

My first and the one that started it all. My original AFCK in ATS-34 steel. This knife has been around the world and back with me. Still have it after all these years and it doesn't look too worse for the wear. Still butter smooth blade deployment and the lock up is still solid:

This will sound a little nutty - like many of my posts - but the AFCK somewhat reminds me of the DeLorean automobile, as both are somewhat retro and futuristic at the same time.

It is a full size prototype.

Funny, I used to have 2 of those AFCK tanto's that I picked up from a dealer now long gone I believe. Sold them both for peanuts years ago, and had a hard time doing it at that! I'd bet they'd fetch a pretty penny nowadays.

The AFCK in my opinion was underappreciated in its day, and then it was no more. I remember the clamor for an Axis-locking AFCK, and the day that happened. Ah, the good ole days, when I had far more expendable income than brains. :)

Those AFCK Tantos are awesome; yet probably drew a limited audience. This is my user 800, which makes for one of the best slicers in my kitchen. Sent to LifeSharp for bronze washers and sharpening recently it's a dream to use, and much lighter than the Axis versions:

Someday I will acquire another AFCK (or multiples) since I lost mine.
It was the very first knife I had saved up for.
I got a lot of love for that design... keep the pics coming!

Mines not quite as pretty but sure is a pleasure to carry.

arrowhd, Looks pretty to me!

Still on the my "Grail" list of the AFCK's to get is the AXIS D-2 version you have and the 800 HS in M2 Steel jkarp posted above.

This is literally a beautiful thread!

The AFCK was a classic the day it was introduced and still relevant today with the upgraded locks and steels. If you got one back then you knew right away it was a standout, not only in the BM line but other knives of the day. Truly one of the all time greats! At least I think so.

An Axis lock AFCK is at the top of my want to buy list. Maybe someday soon I will find a good one at a fair price. Then I will be able to enjoy this great knife like so many others that posted all these pictures that have made me jealous....

+1

I still kick myself after I spent all last summer watching those AFCKs sit there on the KW.

Waiting on the next AFCK or TSEK special run since they will no doubt be cheaper new than current inflated prices.

Hey, that's A Fricken (?) Cool Knife.

Anyone know what AFCK and TSEK stand for? I have a couple of the AXIS lock versions but had already found the Rift and they don't get the appreciation they deserve. Guess they don't fit my hand as well as some other designs. Any knife that has that indentation for the index finger just doesn't feel right to me (the Spyderco Sage is another).
