AFCK Lovers?

I've been an AFCK lover since day one with the original 800/800SBT. It fits every role I need a folder for just about perfect. An 806D2 also saved my life back in the day as well. I've posted this pic before, but here's where my current AFCK addiction stands...

No wonder I can't find one hahahaa!

The first run AFCK was my first BM. I had a little custom work on it (brass washers and titanium back spacer). Carried for many years and while a bit worn in appearance it never met a job it couldn't handle. Sadly last summer I lost it on a rocky mountain trip. I believe it is in Wyoming somewhere. I replaced it with a bone collector which is very nice but I just can't seem to be happy with it. I have looked at the ones for sale now and they are insane on the pricing. Does anyone know if BM has any plans to put out another regular production run?

I really wish I could answer that. From what I've seen Benchmade has only put out limited editions the last several years.

I too wish they would put out a regular production run again, but if they have plans to or not? I really don't know.

I still have own and on occasion carry my first BM a Chris Carrachi designed first gen AFCK, this was definitely one tactical SD knives I've ever owned, it has the best balance and is smooth as butter.

So would I. It's about time or due for a new one to come out.

Just hope its sooner rather then later!
Do you mean another LE in general or another AFCK LE?
From 09-11 there was 5 different LE of AFCK, 6 if you count the 805 TSEK.
That's a lot!
I doubt any more are in the works.

I was referring specifically to the AFCK.

Ideally a regular production run but if that wasn't possible or in the works perhaps another LE run.

They may have done several but as the LE's are typically limited to very few pieces made, 250, 400 there really aren't that many to go around.

Hence why they are so difficult to come by, unless you get one on the secondary market at highly inflated prices.

That's why I was saying, or hoping really that another release, LE of otherwise was in the works. Maybe a chance to get another one at regular prices, that's if I can even get one while they last.

Might be doubtful or unlikely but one can hope right?

I'd be down for one in black and red G10, similar to the Shot Grip, same texture too. Blade steel, S30V. Let's make it happen, I'll buy 2. ;)

Ah, love to see the 901. It is special to me as I was the dude who started the movement to get it made. I have the first (not kept in the factory) and the last numbered version of that in CE (#4,#250). I love the knife but worried I will lose it so I don't carry it much any more. I do carry the later LE's that came out. Gotta love the AFCK a classic.

Just a reminder, and I will post it again. We have a group from the BMF (on Benchmade's Site) that honors the knife by having "International Carry Your AFCK Day" and it is always November 1st. That date was picked as that was the day the annoucement of the discontinuance of the 806 was announced on the forum. Since there is a forum here now on Bladeforums, we should all share in the fun.
