AFCK Lovers?

AFCK = Advanced Folding Combat Knife

The indentation I believe you are speaking of would be a choil ;)

Hey, that's A Fricken (?) Cool Knife.

Anyone know what AFCK and TSEK stand for? I have a couple of the AXIS lock versions but had already found the Rift and they don't get the appreciation they deserve. Guess they don't fit my hand as well as some other designs. Any knife that has that indentation for the index finger just doesn't feel right to me (the Spyderco Sage is another).

Depending on who you ask or when you fist heard of them

The AFCK stands for: Advanced Fighting Combat Knife
or the PC version or way of saying it: Advanced Folding Combat Knife

The TSEK: Tactical Safety Equipment Knife
or Training Safety Equipment Knife

I have heard and seen / read BM refer to them as either depending. At first it was one and later the other.

I'm sure jkarp or someone else in this thread will be able to correct me if I am wrong.

By the way, Neuron, that's an amazing collection you have! The standard to which I now aspire Sir! Really incredible!

AFCK is accurate; Tactical Equipment Safety Knife is what Benchmade calls it. Weird name huh?

Thanks jkarp.

I knew if anyone, you would be able to clarify!

Note to self: Joe, you're on vacation for the next two weeks; first thing to do before leaving is to unplug the PC and get used to the idea of not having access. What's packed in the suitcase is your 525BK-1101, BTW. And the expect about a thousand emails on your return. Best part of going someplace new is the search..."CAUTION...this car stops for stores that carry Benchmades...!" ;)

Yeah I guess that would be a choil. Guess I'm used to them being on the blade or half blade, half handle the way Spyderco does it. Guess it could also be a finger groove (?), especially if there were multiple of them.

My most carried knife is the M390 805. That's out of all production knives made to date. :D
Any new 800 series in general is worth picking up if produced.
Its the only model I get multiples of when available.
Not for everyone, but for me its the s_it.

All but two with the smooth scales went back for the textured contoured G-10.
Anyone remember that bit of trivia?

The M390 805 & 806 were the 1st two BM LE's I spec's out for KW.
So, maybe its just me.

This was most difficult to come by. The M4 806 was produced due to the persistence of a certain member of the BM forum. Blue box hut, etc. Only have a couple left, but what a great blade

MCM,

Another amazing collection!

And I have to agree, the M4 806 was by far the hardest to track down and acquire.

Theres two of those M4 806's for sale? one is PE and one is a serrated edge. Might have to sell a lung or a testy for it....but what the heck. LOL

Welp...if you ever find yourself profoundly disgusted by those M4 AFCKs there MCM, you just email me.

I would be remiss if I did not extend the same courtesy.

Should the burden of ownership become such you find it overbearing, I mean who couldn't use more space right? .

As fellow BFC member I would be more then willing to help you lighten your load..........

Any other AFCK lovers out there?

These are 2 of my first Benchmades. I would like to add an 805 to the group. My AFCK's may predate the invention of the Axis lock. I don't mind linerlocks but I find it interesting that the AFCK is maybe the only Benchmade with an axis lock that is drilled for tip down carry.

Space and room to expand is a valuable commodity, we are only here to offer help to our fellow forum members. :)
