After Christmas deals for 12/27 -- Pix and big savings

i'm very curious how much impact the added cant of a balance would add to the performance of a 13.5" khuk weighing 14oz. that could be the knife everyone keeps askin about. you know, the obligatory thread we see every couple days titled "best all around camp knife" or "belt knife when my 18" ak/grs is in the truck/tent."

i may have reason to celebrate in a few days and if the little balance is still around, that's how i'll do it.

The small balances can defiantly hold their own. Personally I think that they are the best of the sub 15" size.

Thats interesting. I own no balances. I want a Sgt. Khadka, but haven't gotten it done. SK's get sharked the quickest.
 
I emailed yesterday (after just 1 post on this thread) for the small Sirupati. I have given two away as gifts, and always regretted it.
No reply from Yangdu. I wonder what is going on.
I hope everything is OK.
 
did you remember everything in your e-mail? i took my time before ordering, got my response relatively quickly.

you better use that one......or at least send it to the east coast for a testing. i'll also need a couple other 12"-14" khuks to compare and create a benchmark. you can also cover shipping.

Go for it Tim! I already buckled and picked up the small balance and the Chainpuri. You know how nice it will feel to heft one of the big blades when it comes in the mail!!

hehehe I did my part in saving Jai :P
I got the CAK, now I have an 18inch CAK and a 16inch CAK :)
From the specs it looks like a fairly heavy 16inch CAK
