After Sale Lounge

Well that was pretty interesting, and much faster than I had anticipated. I’m guessing that because folks had the option of placing an order, that that opened things up a bit. I placed an order for a dagger and a skinner:D No, not really. Certainly would, though.

My phone is refreshing so slowly that I’m starting refreshes for next Friday:) Congratulations to all that were successful! It would be interesting to see what everyone was after. Mike

Congrats to all that scored today!
Looks like a lot of new-comers participated. That’s awesome!!!
Hang in there guys, it’s a bit of a learning curve but well worth the end result.
The Carothers crew is great at making sure people eventually get hooked up!!!

I completely spaced today's sale. Oh well, sounds like there was plenty of participation, lol...

From what Nathan had said a few days ago, there will still be some more top shelf stuff in the Fridays to come so don't space out next time

I think that I got a pretty good idea by partaking in today's sale as far as the refresh lag and my Internet speed these days. Man I was rusty after not being in one of these for quite a while!

These new sales will certainly be a bit more interesting with so many folks at home now. I think my cell service internet has been faster and more reliable lately during the day than my home internet has been. Guess I'll need to confirm that if I choose to participate, lol. But at least I have my game down pat, having lived in the Busse world as long as I have. ;)

I would be curious to understand how many knives were actually sold this time. The sale was a bit confusing for me. Was it just limited to ten knives from what was on the table? It looks like over 30 knives were claimed. Was there ten of each type available?
Anyway, I’m glad to have my two CPK knives from previous sales, but I am still thinking to snag another one!

There were ten knives sold in this sale.

I would love a CPK UF but I have to work my as off right now and it’s just not been in the cards. I will keep my eye open for next Friday .

I haven’t given up but it’s been about a year of trying to keep tabs on the forum. At some point I will remember and not be slammed with work.

You are allowed to have a proxy buyer. There is a proxy request thread in the CPK forum. The proxy will claim your spot in the sale. The rest of the deal is between you and CPK.
You can also post a “wanted to buy” request in the CPK buy, sell, trade thread. There are a lot of good people over there - somebody will try to help you out if they can.

Probably decent stuff too...I'd actually feel bad about that.

Crisis was averted, though barely. I appreciated the laugh though. I believe I was sipping on some Ransom Whiskey - they make damned fine stuff and are from the town I grew up in. I know Scotch is your thing but if you ever feel like branching out and trying something different, I'd recommend Ransom's Emerald - it is a replication of an old 1865 Irish mash bill and it is pretty fine (not particularly cheap though...).

Speaking of Scotch though, my supply of Islays is running dangerously low. Lots of Highlands and Speysides but the Islays are down to a few fingers in each bottle - will need to remedy that soon.
