After Sale Lounge

Less fumbling this time vs. the last sale but still just not quite fast enough.:(

I think I'm going to go out now into my back yard/woods along with my trusty Behemoth Chopper and release bit of this pent up frustration upon some vines and saplings that needs to cleared!

Sorry to clutter the sales thread, I passed my spot on down (I've got my SSSDFK already, love it, but don't really need a second).

I've been working with my Starlink connection (reasonably fast, unreasonably high latency). This post was to test if I'll ever be able to buy another CPK once I turn down my T1 connection (unbelievably slow, really low latency) that has served me reasonably well so far. Looks like I'll never score a bowie or Friday Fun Sale, but may have a chance on sales with more than 5 or 10 knives.

You don't know how well you're going to race until you get on the track! 🤔 🤷‍♂️

I posted the sale. It took about 6 seconds to load. Then I refreshed and posted in the sale. It couldn't have been more than 10 seconds and I came in at #64.

That's pretty brutal. We might need to make some adjustments here.

How pray tell, do you make adjustments, beyond becoming less popular or making a ton more knives?

Larger less frequent sales
1. Make more knives (I only repeated this because it's the only solution that will make everybody but Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist happy; Nathan would just have to cry all the way to the bank!)

2. Pick a number, randomly, between 1 and 10. Announce it ahead of time, or don't, as seems appropriate. For example, 3. Then every third post gets to purchase.

3. Release a few knives, here and there, at random times, and unannounced.

4. Raise the prices (running to look for cover).
:D

ETA: I'm not advocating for change, just throwing out some random thoughts (oh oh, wrong thread...). I'm OK with the current system, or any changes Nathan sees fit to implement; after all, it's his game, I'm just playing in it.
