After Sale Lounge

I had announced five but I went ahead and put 10 into today's sale so there would be plenty so folks wouldn't need to feel rushed placing their order.

We will do up the last 30 or so for the next sale so it won't sell out so fast.
All the extra finishing steps for the Signature SDFK vs. Standard may not really work all that great for through put on your machine centers, not mention the extra hand labor required for the additional finishing work but I think the Signature SDFK might be a good option to select/consider at some future point in time for a possible Pre-Order?

Yeah, you're probably right. We might revisit this pattern again in the future, it seems to have a lot of interest.

So 30 seconds, instead of 10? 🤣

I want to publicly thank my asshat client for scheduling a two hour conference call with me on this fine Friday afternoon so I would not have to see my dreams trampled, crushed, and incinerated, per usual

This could just be me being rather salty (I think that's what the kids are calling it these days) but limited runs are always just chumming the waters. On the bright side though, I was very happy to see some proxies land for some well deserving members - nicely done, folks.

CPK is the gonna be the new “GEC” 🔥🤑

^ all in good fun but the interest is far exceeding the drops and as of late, even the pre-orders!

GEC opened the doors to actual classic US made slipjoints (was only familiar with a few patterns before I dove into GEC) still attainable for ez coin. CPK has the advantage by getting them straight from the tap and avoiding dealer shenanigans. also with your community, which i'm a greenhorn in -it would seem harder to be a flipper

I like GECs and I have a considerable collection of them. Are they worth what they are being bought and sold for these days though? Nope, not at all. Plus, the discussions and such surrounding them anymore suck the joy right out of seeking them out.

It sucks to miss out on a CPK drop here but it feels good knowing that they are getting scooped up by folks that love them and aren't necessarily interested in making a quick buck. The hammer can drop swiftly should that ever become the case.

agreed 100% I signed up on BF because a bastid on an unrelated but equally obsessive forum kept posting GEC knives in his pics. Got in on a handful while the lollyscramble was not quite at its peak but soon lost interest.

before then I knew sodbuster, stockman and trapper patterns cause that's what my grandpa had. to GEC's credit I learned a lot about traditional knives but ultimately chose to seek the lesser hype beast old school makers. sold most but kept the F&F sodbuster pats and sought after some patterns related to hobbies, 56 bird dog and 89 fruit knife and so on.
