A month ago I was looking on YouTube to sharpen my Walmart knife and really liked the Apostle P Channel then joined blade forums so many nice blades to choose from I started with these two, any suggestions for my next I'm thinking 940?

Pretty sure it's all down hill from those two.

Nice start. Welcome to Bladeforums.

Hey thanks!

Picked up the Sebenza on the exchange...have to say checking out the new sales is addictive as hell

Welcome to the addiction :D You'll love it, but your wallet will hate you :p Some very nice knives you've picked up so far

Welcome to blade forums and congratulations on starting off right!

Those are both a couple of fine choices right there, a Seb is a grail for a lot of people. My suggestion is to play the field a bit, but modestly. All preferences are different, but you can't get much better than a Sebenza, just different. 940 is a great benchmade, maybe look for a good fixed blade, if you need one.
Welcome, and best of luck.

Yep. Can't get much better than the sebenza. That spyderco is a nice one too.

Knives are very personal thing. Some folks like more tactical (like your spydie) and others like more gentlemanly (myself personally), to which the seb leans.

Play around and see what you like. Try a couple traditional styles or invest in a Davison or coats (or one of many others) or try out the tactical end, emersons, hinderers or maybe a shirogorov. You may find there's too many to collect all you like!

Great choices you are pretty screwed! Lol. Jk. Really great first choices though! It's going to be a tough act to come after those two. Do you like traditionals? How about thin and narrow? Big and beefy? Lots of genres to choose from!

Welcome to the insanity, my man. Two excellent choices right outta the gate, too!

The 940 is a great EDC blade....slim, light, and the axis lock is fun as hell. I'd recommend seriously considering the 940-1 if you like the 940 series.

Good luck in your search!

940 is a great choice to add variety to what you have.
Certainly a different animal...

Just keep yourself well informed and buy what you like based on that information... And when you're satisfied with locking folders, add in some fixed blades and traditionals...

A 940-1 would be the next pick, IMO.

You have two lightweight, quality knives. The 940-1 would round out the lightweight EDC category...

Plus, the 940-1 would weigh less than either one by over an ounce (which, isn't much, but when talking >5oz knives, 1+ oz is an appreciable margin), its lock is arguably the stronger of the three, it's got carbon fiber scales and an Axis lock (which is just an interesting contrast to a frame lock titanium scaled knife, and the Spyderco Compression lock and G10 scales), and it's simply a nice knife, in general, to use.

I like seeing different approaches to the same goal, and a PM2, S21, and 940-1 are all three rather different approaches to similarly-sized, similar weight knives.

The Sebbie is a great knife. I've had a few and cannot fault them at all.

Wow thanks for all the welcomes!

This Seb21 is so sweet its definitely my EDC for now you can really feal the quality just an awsome piece. At my job we cut plastic wrap off pallets and the weight of the knife feels like all it takes to cut it.

I think you guys nailed it with the 940-1 the axis + CF is a home run.

Peace... Sam

Wow! what upgrades those are! Great choices. Now you need a smaller pocket version.

Great starting point! Agree with prev. BFM post, all downhill from there or you can maybe add one more, Shirogorov 95T. I will also add a couple of good EDC autos, Protech Brend 2 or TR3. Yah! you're good for a month or two:)

Welcome Sam!!
940 is an excellent next step! You have some choices there as well.
940
940-1
I believe Knifeworks has a nice exclusive in G10.
Also take a look at the 943. Same action and scales with a different blade shape!
One warning.....stay off the Exchange.....especially after an adult beverage or 2 bro!!

Welcome! I have a couple suggestions, just based on my own experience. You picked up two of the best knives ever made, and I really have to applaud your choices. I would think about getting a good sharpening system next, like an edge pro or something similar. Maybe find some cheap blades to learn on, and then you will be able to keep your knives silly sharp with a beautiful edge. Your nice knives are going to get dull and there is nothing better than being able to put a fine edge on your expensive blades. Sharpening is an art and highly enjoyable for us blade lovers. But back to what to get next, I would go with something to round out your collection. Nice 3-4" fixed blade, maybe a larger chopper if you are ever in the need of such thing, something tactical, or just plain fancy. I saw a Spyderco vallotton in person the other day and let me tell you it's one sick blade. Awesome design, drop dead gorgeous, extremely well made, it's now the next on my list. or you could try something from Benchmade. I just picked up the new Griptilian 551-1 g10 model and it's a great example of a quality and reasonably priced Benchmade. Lion steel makes a great product too, the sr's are excellent. And of course the 940 benchmade is another must have, it's the knife I have had the longest and the one I always go back to. I personally like the 943 even better, I prefer the pointy tip even if it is weaker. Happy shopping!

Welcome! The same thing happened to me about a month ago, but I went with a Ritter Mini instead of the Sebbie and camp scales on the pm2. Jealous of that Sebbie!

I'll throw in the Ritter mini with custom CF scales against the 940-1. Just a CF/Axis lock alternative, although I'm somewhat eyeing the 940-1 myself. The mini grip fits perfectly in my hand and the scales, from Igorded, are flawless! You could add blue stand offs instead and it'd look like a little brother to the 940-1. For me, the mini grip is perfect for EDC in an office and the extra length and different blade shape seems like it'd raise a few more eyebrows in a corporate setting.

I still find myself looking for a new knife already, even though I said the Ritter and PM2 were going to be it for at least a couple months. It's definitely an addiction now...
